mikey, lemme know which one you wanna do, and i'm there most likely

Out of curiosity, why go with Chin. Their rates are astronomical.

Depends on what kind of track time and their group sizes are.... Carguys rates are often double what NASA charges but you get 3x the track time if the groups are small enough.

Carguys is cheaper than Chin. VIR-F with them is something insane, like 700.

Now that you're unemployed, you barely post. Big Grin

If you've ever paid full price for a carguys even remind me to kick you in the nuts next time I see you.

I havent... but I've seen students get over 3 hrs of track time per day. You're telling me thats not worth it?

psh, I hardly used all the track time NASA gives us.

- Mike - 02-17-2007

yeah, i really don't want more track time per event... after the nasa time, i'm spent, the car's spent. it's a long weekend, i find myself making mental mistakes in that last stint.

- Apoc - 02-17-2007

They should take some of your time and give it to the racers. You guys pay more than us but I haven't really worked out the dollars per minute so see who's actually paying more. I know racers would really like more track time, especially come qualifying time. Would you give up 5 minutes here and there for cheaper entry fees?

- Mike - 02-17-2007

i wouldn't want less time...

- white_2kgt - 02-17-2007

yea, HPDE1/2 are pretty fucked as it is, you spend most of the time trying to find a clean lap only to be greated by the Green Flag. I don't think we need _more_ time in qualifying, if you cant get your best time in 3-4 laps you don't need to be out there.

More time, not necessarily. Less cars, yes definitely. 4 laps in a field where your feet/car allotment is less than what's traveled in 1 second doesn't always allow for your "best time" when cars of varying speeds are present. More time just increases the chances you'll get a halfway clean lap. Just a thought and definitely OT to this thread.

Bumpdrafting in qualifying ftw!

I had a really bad habit of "helping" miatas out of my way if i was on a hot qualifying laps. At least I was helping them with the bump n' run. Or in evan's case, the 3 lap shoving (insert gay miata joke here).

Intentional contact in Autobahn gets you a DQ. Wink
