Wow... thats worse than getting dumped by email.

They actually tell you in person but you find out if you have a "meeting" by email so that's the giveaway.

Having never been through either I'd say getting dumped is worse.

Well Bob,

In any given week, I'd say I put in 15 minutes of work.

we might have some openings for a traveling consulting gig if you're intersted. probably 100% travel - interested?

- ButtDyno - 12-13-2006

We are mostly software development, but we do some general purpose consulting stuff too. I can pass along your resume if you want Smile

- .paul - 12-13-2006

got it from page 1. unless you want to send me another one, i'll go ahead and talk to my hiring manager to see if/when they'll have openings.

That'd be great - thanks Jason!

I promise I wont quit after a week if I get a job there Wink

Does this mean something to you.
Quote:Manager of Software development-
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in SDLC methodologies and have a proven track record in project and personnel management. He/she should possess a BS in Information Technology or equivalent experience and must have hands-on experience with MacroMedia, Flash, VB and .NET. Experience with SQL Server a plus. Responsibilities include meeting with customers to understand business needs and turn them into technical requirements, mentoring applications developers, crafting project plans and oversight of development projects. Must have experience in sales and new business development.

Generally software managers have programming/development and management backgrounds, which I dont - although for the software I work on I basically drive all the new releases/development, qa/testing and implentation.

That looks like a more senior position that I can fit into right now but thanks for looking out Smile

dont be so modest RJ, you are an enterprise .Net guru

- .RJ - 12-13-2006

I should fudge my resume to get a cushy gov't job, they dont know shit anyways Wink

Can you guys elaborate on what type of work it is? I assume you guys both know I did ISAT with environment concentration, but would those openings be something I might also be a good candidate for? I love to travel and would like to see different places on someone else's dime. Thanks!

For the kiddies still in college: this is not the way to get a job. You're trying to become gainfully employed, not win a Myspace Cup.

Shut up and don't take it literally, and you know that is not the basis on which I would focus my talents or the other. I would just like to broaden my horizons, and if my employer allowed me to travel that, then a better match for me.

For once, I agree with Rob.

I am a bit jealous if Jack's travel to India and Australia - do it while you're young and have no family to take care of Smile
