Plasma FTL.

I didn't mean to turn it into a who's TV is better contest, I just had to point out that it was on a big ass TV, not a shitty computer monitor.

That TV was money when I bought it almost 2 years ago for $2,000 cash when everything else of that same type and size was literally more than 2xs that much. That's still a pretty good deal from today's standards.

IF we wanted to get into a dickswinging contest, I could just have anyone here add up all of their vehicles crank horsepower and compare it to the crank hp in one of mine Wink

I think I would actually do ok in that contest just out of sheer number of vehicles :p

- Apoc - 11-01-2006

...and then we multiply by sq ft of where we live.

- HAULN-SS - 11-01-2006

I'm pretty sure I'd fare well in that too - and for cubic inches I got you all pwned I think. (sitting at around 850 right now?). But anyway, to the real dickswinging at hand here - if you pay for a good screen, a DLP projector is just as good as anything else. Not springing for a screen is what Effs most people up.

Evan, Jeff, and I probably got you easily beat there, except we don't know Jeff's since only a few of his run :-p

I have no idea on cubic inches (that's a domestic thing ;-)), but if you want to compare engine size I'm sporting about 16 liters and 26 cylinders right now. I'm interested in Evan's tally on these, if nothing else :-).

To continue the OT: I inherited a DLP projector with the new house and I needed a screen. I've been thinking about 92" based on the room size so thanks for the links. Smile

Nice, well congrats if all of your cars add up to over 700 hp! It only took xxx cars, 16 liters and 26 cylinders to do it, compared to 2.8L and 4  Now, if you could only combine all those cars into one supercar you'd have the winner.

Woop, I've probably got you beat horsepower wise, but not torque :?

EDIT: And yeah, I agree with Evan... you can't count cars that are busted piles / parts cars. It has to actually run on the road, and pass a safety inspection.

mine is comparable to my plasma and that was just projecting on a wall

Confusedhrug: plasma isn't anything special either.

lol... only what you have is the best, right?

What's ironic is i'm pretty sure rear DLP is what you sweat and you slam DLP front projectors... same technology.

yes, what i have is best. my 27" sony trinitron rules! you dolt.

yes, the dlp technology is the same, but the application is not. while i do love dlp for the buck, sxrd is high on my list as well. the picture quality and color accuracy of plasma and lcd just isn't there for me...

you should see the ones my company installs and sells. Vidikron and Runco projectors are the best in the world. I saw a $150k projector for an outdoor amphitheater that was amazing. most of the ones we install are $15-30k. We also use Stewart Filmscreen as the screens. Its pretty awesome stuff I could explain more at a later time if anyone cares.

- Jeff - 11-01-2006

60in Sony SXRD...owned.... I guess its not mine, but mom and dad bought it with my CC discount. It dominates our living room.

Who does have the most cars in MM?

1.Sebring
2.Omni
3.Challenger
4.Daytona
5.Lebaron
6.Minivan

oh i know they exist (i do work in the video industry), but that isn't stuff your average joe can and or will buy.

- Dave - 11-01-2006

they all run, so only Jeff lost out on that one
91 SE-R
93 Supra
91 240
93 240
83 Sierra 3500

we're all swinging our nuts here, but just remember I probably make less than half of your salary :-). The Subie is quite impressive for what it is, I just wish you were gonna keep it around so we could see what it's capable of. I assume you'll be keeping in touch and getting updates on what else gets done to it?

Eh I guess. I'll be providing the new owner with advice, but I could care less either way what happens to it. Like women, I only get attached to cars for a short time before they lose my interest

If it blows up or becomes a magazine centerfold after someone else owns it, it couldn't concern me any less.

- Dave - 11-01-2006

oh come on, you wouldn't but that magazine just to say "I used to own that car"? I sure as shit would, considering all the stuff done to it.

Dave Wrote:oh come on, you wouldn't but that magazine just to say "I used to own that car"? I sure as shit would, considering all the stuff done to it.
I guess I would just to see what it looked like, but why would it matter at that point? Who really cares about magazine recognition unless you're getting compensated for it? If you got paid for a shoot, you're damn right I'd make an effort to get it in. Personally though, and this is just me, I really could care less how much a bunch of import tuner fanbois jerk off to a car they don't own in a magazine. It would be like seeing an ex-girlfriend of yours in a porn: "Yeah, I've hit that... and I'm the reason she got there  "

Now, that said, if someone took that car and won some competitive races with it or set some records at a strip, I'd be a little more interested and a little more proud of what happened to it. But, like I said, in the end I could care less either way. I'm always trying to move on to bigger and better things as long as my means allow, and that's why this car is for sale.
