- HAULN-SS - 10-22-2006 Im pretty sure if you hit triple digits in virginia, they can take you to jail for attempted involuntary manslaughter, right? - CaptainHenreh - 10-22-2006 bimmerboodle Wrote:....many moons ago I was speeding back from Tampa over the big bridge and just kept it up when I hit the mainland... Oh man, I bet that was worth it though. You catch any air over the bridge? I would love to get some serious speed on that thing... - bimmerboodle - 10-23-2006 CaptainHenreh Wrote:The Howard Frankland...not the Sunshine Skyway. The Frankland is pretty level, straight and about 7 miles long. The land speed record from the stupid days was I 75 Northbound on the way back from Sanibel. Lets just say I ran out of revs in the E30 iS in 5th gear.bimmerboodle Wrote:....many moons ago I was speeding back from Tampa over the big bridge and just kept it up when I hit the mainland... I, of course, thought you meant the Skyway: ![]() I doubt you could really catch air on it, but when you're driving it feels really weird. And I bet it'd be fun as hell to speed on. - .RJ - 10-23-2006 Goddamn that thing gives me the willies.... I fucking hate bridges. - bimmerboodle - 10-23-2006 I used to commute over the skyway every day when I worked in Bradenton....one of the nicest commutes evAr! It really is a wonderful view and a nicely designed bridge. The wind was an issue up there sometimes and it was closed occasionally for fog as well. - .RJ - 10-23-2006 Fuck bridges. - bimmerboodle - 10-23-2006 .RJ Wrote:Goddamn that thing gives me the willies....then you should read the story of what happened to the old one.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunshine_Skyway_Bridge - .RJ - 10-23-2006

It was like 10:30 on a Sunday night and figured cops couldn't be hiding behind a tree waiting for me. In hindsight, it was pretty dumb. It's fairly amusing the Ryan is afriad of bridges. - Goodspeed - 10-23-2006 FTW
