we might want to try to find a house...that would be awesome to have an MM House. Fox hills is 350 without ultilities?

Goodspeed if your actually interested in rooming with me and (paul possibly? I havent even talked to him) a house would be almost ideal.

Ive got tons of furniture, I want parking space where I could work on my car, be able to throw some parties without being in an apartment so that you automatically get evicted if you get a noise violation (squire hill). Also to be honest, any apartments get trashed because your typically next to some hothead faggot that throws smokes or beer cans or cups everywhere. Also I live under somene and the noise is quite bothersome. I would be into a house.

I'll be here for one extra semester and may work in the burg till grad school starts in the fall (when the lease runs out). I may be up for getting into a house as well. It seriously is 100x better than an apartment. And if we could get a house with devoted parking, that would be awesome. Right now I have to share the parking lot with the apartments built around our house, although I've never had to park more than 5 spaces from my house, it'd certaintly be nice to not be in a 'parking lot.'

Lets do this then, I'm down. I've been getting a lot of BS from other people about oh maybe this and maybe that, I'd like to get a place settled with people I know. Maybe Blair could ask Paul about what he wants to do, but 4 car guys in a house sounds fun. We should get together and look at some ads or something, Ryan I know you have more experience since you're in a house now. What is Maggie/your other housemates doing, graduating?

Not really...I mean I wouldn't mind it but thats not my top priority (hence P-run being my number one). I just want a clean, relatively quiet townhouse community.

you sound like an old fuckin man.. you only are here at JMU once.. live it up.. party.. go crazy.. have wild ass people around you.. if not you'll regret it.. FOR REAL

ask any of these alumni.. im sure they would give anything to be back here in shithole places partyin like wild mofos ever night and having the time of their lives

Definitely legitimate, unless you livin' in New York Fuckin' City, any area pales in comparsion to JMU in terms of wigging out, free booze, and social atmosphere.

*sigh*

I remember when Fox Hill raised their rent to 295. I was outraged. Now look Sad

Ryan T Wrote:psssh, that's outrageous! Keep your eyes out for a house, that's def. the way to go. My house is bigger than any townhome I've been in and I'm payin $212/month.

about the same here, I live in a townhome, but not any of the student housing ones, i pay only $325 inlcuding all utlities and we have a garage Big Grin , there are better deals out there, just gotta find em

Best thing to do right now is to look around in the newspaper and ads on websites. Look for pretty much anything. I dont personally want it already furnished (probably wont get that anyway with a house) relatively close to campus, within 10 minutes. Also id rather not live in the ghetto.

- Nis01 - 10-20-2006

Theres a lot of nice places around.. the hardest part is finding one close to campus. We found a ton of nice houses but all were just a bit too far for personal preference. The ones that were close were all shitholes with no parking. The breeze usually has a good amount of classifieds and thats where we looked most of the of the time. We ended up in SunChase just because of the ease of the bus and the ability to walk to parties but I would have loved a garage or a set spot to come home to everyday. Live and learn...

 haha I know....well nothing in this town is "too far" for me (and I walk everywhere), parties, people etc, I just don't want to live somewhere where its loud every night and trash is everywhere.

- Goodspeed - 10-20-2006

Just FYI, I checked in the Breeze and saw a few ads, this seems to be where a lot of them are coming from

If we want to do this we should decide if a house is worth the effort of finding a clean, non ghetto one with decent parking etc, or if Fox Hills etc would be easier.

I want a house...
