I had to call amazon customer support a few weeks ago. The guy insisted on reading out my entire order, in his broken bangalore english. When I tried to interrupt him and say "I have the order here, its ok" he would start over. He must have read it off at least 4 times.

It's official. Took it to the computer store today and they told me the HD is dead =(
So many MP3s, so many episodes of Girls Gone Wild... lost into the black hole of data oblivion =(
What's weird was that I was actually able to see the files when I hooked up the HD into this computer as a slave drive. I tried to do a transfer, but it slowed down the computer too much. I might try again when I get the chance... otherwise I'll have to just accept the loss and move on.

That really blows Lee...I came very close to that happening to me this past summer, you should look into services like Drive Savers...they are costly but they'd definately know what to do.

Nothing is ever lost. If you really need data off of it, there are plenty of ways to get it.
