Isle of Man TT!!!!1111123e - Mike - 07-25-2006 my bit for the brainstorming session: no sleepover at our house... jimmy might actually kill one of you next time. - Ginger - 07-25-2006 Last year is rumored to be the last year of the Isle of Man. We were discussing the availability of Laguna Seca, though, and came to the pseudo-conclusion that it's the best event for us to attend. We don't want to shrink the size of the group attending, rather increase it. Moving offshore to see the races will certainly decrease attendance because of cost. Alternatively, we don't just want to go down to VIR to see WSBK or Indy to watch F1 crap. We want to GO somewhere. California turned out to be a really awesome trip and something we all definitely want to do agian. Besides... isn't the decision for people who are actually gonna go? - Evan - 07-25-2006 .RJ Wrote:Rich Aristocratic Hot Whores > drunk rednecks.Apoc Wrote:Monaco GP is where it's at. Monaco might be a fun place to go, but for me its pretty small without a lot to see and expensive to go to - and for the race, you cant see very much from any part of the track. http://www.formulatours.com/ - that might be worth looking into - G.Irish - 07-25-2006 Evan Wrote:.RJ Wrote:Rich Aristocratic Hot Whores > drunk rednecks.Apoc Wrote:Monaco GP is where it's at. Actually the crowd at Laguna was diverse but fairly upscale, I didn't see any redneckedness anywhere really. Everyone was super friendly and hospitable. Lots of characters too. You'd like the crowd. As for Monaco, its not a great race for the viewing but I'm sure its a spectacular city. However, if there was one F1 race I'd go to for the women, it'd have to be Brazil. You'll probably see hotter women and its a lot cheaper to go to. Even closer to home, the Canadian GP is a nice track and has hot women too (from what I hear). I might be down to go to that one next year. - Apoc - 07-25-2006 .RJ Wrote:I dont know about that. Montreal might actually be a decent balance of distance, cost and destination. Two hours on a plane to be in the same place as Club Super Sexe wins every time over five hours to California. - G.Irish - 07-25-2006 Apoc Wrote:.RJ Wrote:I dont know about that. I'll probably rent a bike or something next time too. - .paul - 07-25-2006 so long as this time i do not wake up naked - JohnC - 08-10-2006 First post updated! - .RJ - 08-10-2006 Do we buy tickets for camping online? - JohnC - 08-10-2006 .RJ Wrote:Do we buy tickets for camping online? Yes. Everything goes on sale on November 1st. - Dragon - 08-10-2006 JohnC Wrote:w00t! Guess we should figure out the plan before then huh? So we all doing the camping pass thing, getting at least one rental car..RJ Wrote:Do we buy tickets for camping online? What's the plan for having the EZ-Up, Tents, coolers, etc? I've never flown and tried to have that stuff with me so I don't know how it works. - .RJ - 08-10-2006 http://www.laguna-seca.com/Tickets/inde ... - JohnC - 08-21-2006 .RJ Wrote:http://www.laguna-seca.com/pdf/trackmap3.pdf Damn - our last campground isn't even on that map. Frankly, even if we ended up down there again I wouldn't complain, since it was a downhill walk at the end of the day. - Dragon - 08-21-2006 JohnC Wrote:Not to mention it's right there off the road so it's not bad for getting in at night..RJ Wrote:http://www.laguna-seca.com/pdf/trackmap3.pdf - Ginger - 08-21-2006 Dragon Wrote:JohnC Wrote:Not to mention it's right there off the road so it's not bad for getting in at night..RJ Wrote:http://www.laguna-seca.com/pdf/trackmap3.pdf Good point. I'm not missing Mick next year, and I don't want to get stuck out in the sticks because we weren't back by midnight. Maybe we do the same thing we did this year and supply ourselves with pitbikes, or something like that? - .RJ - 10-18-2006 2 weeks till ticket-buying...... - JohnC - 10-19-2006 .RJ Wrote:2 weeks till ticket-buying...... Yes. What are we doing about the camping situation? Reserved up next to the track is $275 - that would be my vote. Split 6 ways thats only $45/each. Rent a minivan or something to get us there? We need to decide something before tickets go on sale - and designate one person to do the buying as soon as it opens. |
