How does gloves take away the 'feel'? Most of the input you get from the steering wheel is how it is trying to turn in your hands, gloves just help you old on better when your hands get all sweaty.
those are my thoughts too, i would just get thin gloves.
do the racing orgs require a flame resistant glove or can you wear anything?

its easier to feel the tires, the scrub, the rotation and its easier to make fine adjustments to the wheel without gloves. I also have more grip on the wheel with less squeeze without gloves
but thats just me, diff'rnt strokes for diff'rnt folks

either way, id still wear nomex gloves while racing for the saftey. my livelihood is my hands, and I dont want to risk that. In fact I bought expensive CarbonX gloves

i love having driving gloves, i dont think i lose any feel through the wheel maybe because they are well used gloves, but it also gives me a good grip on the wheel when my hands get all sweaty and nasty

I guess we are seeing difference in cars here. If I feel a vibration in my steering wheel that means somethings wrong. I can feel the rotation in the seat before I do in the wheel, by the time the wheel has moved due to a drift the car's gone and I won't be able to save the spin. With your smaller car and shorter wheel base you might get more info from the wheel than a larger car.

there are also different types of vibrations, you should be able to feel understeer, tire scrub and grip/slide through the steering wheel, not to say you cant feel that with gloves on it just makes it a little more muted.
Although since you have power steering I do remember that making a big difference in feel with my wrx, so thats probably a factor too

ahh, you have manual steering, yea, big difference, when I ran around summit w/ manual steering and brakes it made a big difference in how the wheel felt, I don't get much back though the power rack when it is working properly.
