they just restricted it to 4 per race. That's not too much fun, i like to see some competition. I know GT's only had 6 at a time, but they had some races (F1 cars and such) where there would be an entire field. I'm very dissapointed at the lack of that functionality. I might look into other PC games and such.

Well as I said, the Moto GP 4 demo I played had a full grid of riders so it can't be that difficult unless TT has much better physics and/or graphics. Moto GP 4 was good but a sim it was not. Maybe TT is more sim *shrugs*
