Like Mike said 500awhp+ is what I'm looking for on pump gas. I think it should be reasonably attainable with the aggressive cam, bigger displacement and the turbo setup that I'm running. Only time will tell for sure.

Man that sounds like an awesome project, congrats! It's going to be a real rocket when it's tuned right. What sort of drivetrain upgrades need to take place for that much power on an STi?
When you say Cosworht Cam, is that as in "the" Euro Cosworth company? If so, that's super cool!

Yep, it's the Euro Cosworth 272 cams. These heads will put the Cosworth heads to shame though, without a doubt.

Ah yah, I went with the upgraded ARP head studs. The ESX subaru runs these. Allows 60+ psi of boost!!!! lmao!
Can you imagine 60 pounds on this engine? No way I'll push it that hard, but there is a good possibility that I may run out of turbo with the GT35R.

Clutch yes, trans no. Not for now anyway until I get used to the way the car drives.
The stock STi transmission has been used in cars up to 650-700whp with no problems. The real PROBLEM with it is that the gears are too short. I ripped through the gears before, I can't imagine what it will be like soon.
May eventually go to 1-4 straight cut gears, supposedly they could drop almost a second on your quarter mile time. STi gearing is woefully short.

Its not that the gears are too short (they are actually STi RA gears) but the redline is too low
Rev it to 8k and it will be plenty of gear

Yah, jump up a few posts Adam, I talked a little bit about the tranny ^_^
The clutch is getting swapped out for an Exedy twin-plate. Axles are a possibility, but really I'm not going to be launching this car that hard very often, so I see that as kind of a as a "i'll only fix it if it breaks" type thing.
You will definitely get a ride when she's back together. This project is truly earning its name of "Frankenstein" heheh
