Those of you doing this track and are signed off for 'Solo' might want to make sure you have an instructor this time around. This track is very technical and you will spend the better part of the weekend trying not to get lost unless you have somebody riding shotgun w/ you the whole time.

Good point - there's alot of tricky decreasing radius off camber bits on track and it helps to have someone that knows their way around it Smile Pay close attention to the videos, both Evan and I have a pretty good line around the place.

yea but it really helps to have someone in the car telling you what to look for, like power lines, flag stations, etc. you just can't pick that stuff up by watching a video.

Oh, I was certainly agreeing with that. Nothing beats having an instructor that knows their way around the track.

ok, I just don't want anyone thinking they can just watch a bunch of videos and have that track figured out. Summit Pt Main, yea, VIR, probably, Shen, not a chance in fucking hell

registerizzled.

serious to do list: stiffer springs, change oil, new windshield, new radiator and hoses, spare rotors, spare pads, compression test (give me an idea how many more events this thing will go), mount "new" tires.

nice to do list: seats, harnesses, tranny fluid, rear sway bar, alignment, new dizzy, new plugs, new wires, new cluster or get a monster tach, oil pressure and water temp gauges.

regisssstered also...

see you bitches there

What problem are you having with the BMW? dead tach?

- Mike - 02-28-2006

i know you didn't ask, but my tach is showing fuel cut at like 6k rpms, which is 1k short of where it wa before my last event... im assuming bad cluster, anyone else?

By fuel cut...do you mean it hits the rev limiter?
or it just gives up on the power....
If it is an E30, I will bet the pulse sensor wire rubbed on the pulley and is shorting to ground at high RPMs. Cobetto had that same symptom at Shen. last year. Electrical tape is the cheesy "get it home" fix but it needs to be replaced if it is damaged.

- Mike - 02-28-2006

rev limiter, sorry. i doubt the rev limiter moved so i'm assuming my tach done broke.

What kind of car?

- CaptainHenreh - 02-28-2006

It's either the S2k or the LS Hatch, and since he's talking about 6k vs 7k, I'm guessing it's the B18 Hatchback.
