there are some 02 OEM wheels in the Valley Trader for $400 w/ tires. (I think that was the price)

Wrong bolt pattern, and way too blingy for a 1st gen.

Of course, on a related note, my wheel trade has been delayed... Possibly until the end of the month - unfortunately I didn't find out until after I had the tires unmounted :evil:

So I got a few things done this weekend. Still haven't put the carpet in, but hopefully I'll get to that tommorrow.

Front shock (both sides look the same, so only one pic):

Driver's side pivot bushing - this one took me about 2.5 hours:

Took the truck to work today. Money *very* well spent 8)

The old dampeners were completely shot - lots of gurgling and sputtering when I *easily* compressed them by hand. The new Bilsteins are great - the truck is flat through corners and transitions well. No more bouncing and bucking over uneven pavement. The new pivot beam bushings played a huge part too. I'm looking forward to installing the radius arm bushings and the rest of the kit soon - had to get the thing back on the road though, so didn't want to start taking other stuff apart.

As for the interior - it smells like a new truck Smile And I started to bitch about not being able to hear the stereo clearly - then I realized I had the volume turned down to 1. Normally, I'd have to turn the volume up to 6/10 just to understand the lyrics to songs. The Fatmat made a dramatic improvement, and I still haven't even done the doors yet. I'm looking forward to long trips in the truck without the associated headaches and hearing loss.

Further interior restoration is on the way... I found out that Ford sells a repair kit to fix the annoying issue of the dash becoming completely detached on the passenger side Confusedhock: Which of course mine has done - it rattles and squeaks on all but the smoothest roads.

*And* they still have the interior trim panels (several of mine were damaged by the previous owner when they replaced speakers - held on now by good intentions and double-sided tape) in the computer - for cheap Smile Pretty soon the inside of this thing will look brand new... Too bad I won't make the car show this year Sad
