RJ's having a superbowl party! - Maengelito - 02-05-2006 woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooo steeeeeeelers!!!!!!!!! - Sijray21 - 02-05-2006 f-that, GO SEAHAWKS!!! - Ryan T - 02-05-2006 Bah, for all those that think the Seahawks deserve a superbowl ring.....Bettis deserves it more. - Feersty - 02-05-2006 All the Pittsburgh hype is gonna jinx it. - Ryan T - 02-05-2006 Didn't seem to. Steelers Win!! - Feersty - 02-05-2006 The bus has made its final stop. - WRXtranceformed - 02-05-2006 No chance the Seahawks would ever come close. I bet $2000 on the outcome after the start of the second half and I was taken up on it, obviously to have had the better back out =p Don't even fuck with me on that, it wasn't a contest. - Evan - 02-06-2006 lol the seahawks got screwed over by the refs so bad it wasnt even funny. Not like I care much, I didnt give a shit who won, but Ive seen a lot of bad officiating over the years, but that has to have been some of the worse. Even John "Captain Obvious" Madden and his sidekick pointed it out. They really were robbed. Sucks to be a seahawks fan. - Mike - 02-06-2006 which plays are you talking about? - ScottyB - 02-06-2006 Mike Wrote:which plays are you talking about? there were a bunch, but a couple come to mind: -the "pushing off" call on the seahawks on their initial touchdown -i thought Roeslisberger didn't cross the endzone line on his swan dive -lots of holding calls on the hawks i didn't think were right - Mike - 02-06-2006 1. the push off, i agree, went uncalled. 2. not enough evidence to overturn. he was more in than alstott was. 3. i recall one, but that is it. so i guess if they had called the push off the steelers potentially lose 7 points, and if the holding call had not been made the seahawks would have been on the 1 so we can maybe add 7 points... yeah, i guess the refs did decide the game. the play taht got me the most was when hasselbeck got called for blocking below the knees when he was going for that tackle... rofl. regardless, neither team impressed me, but i'm glad to see the steelers take it. - Ryan T - 02-06-2006 I thought it was a pretty good game. The officiating was questionable at times, but overall fair. The fact is the seahawks had plenty of time with the ball, they just could never get the job done. They held the ball 33 minutes in the game, over half of it. The seahawks did do a good job though, they passed for over 100 yards more than the steelers, had 20 someodd more plays, and had over twice as many receptions as the steelers. Pitt just got the big plays when they needed them.
- Maengelito - 02-06-2006 i didnt think the officiating was terrible. big bens rushing touchdown saw the nose of the ball touch the line. it was close, but plain enough to see. and you gotta call holding when you see it. the seahawks were practically hog tying steelers that were rushing the qb - damnit458 - 02-06-2006 BS The officiating decided that game. That offensive pass interference call was horrible, and the phantom holding call that cost the steelers first and goal at the 1 (one of the few balls that Stevens actually held onto all night) was rediculous. Its sad to see the game get decided like that. By the end of it I was actually rooting for the seahawks (I felt bad for hassleback, he seemed to be doing all he could). Im with mike on the blocking call. How in the world they can penalize him on that attempted tackle is beyond me - G.Irish - 02-06-2006 This Superbowl certainly had the worst.... Commercials in a long time. Its like the ad industry is running out of ideas or something. There were a few that I liked but overall it gets 2 out of 5 stars. But yeah that was some really bad officiating. Especially that offensive pass interference. The ref didnt even start to throw the flag until the cornerback started bitching. - Hunter - 02-06-2006 I actually didn't think the officiating was that bad. I agreed with the offensive pass interference call, the two players were next to each other in the end zone, then the receiver extended his arm and created separation to catch the pass. It wasn't much but it did give him a advantage in terms of getting to the ball. Anyway, check this site out with all the super bowl commercials, there were a few good ones that i never actually saw during the game because I was drunk. I think my favorite might have been the H3 commercial with the pregnant godzilla. http://sports.aol.com/nfl/superbowlads - Sijray21 - 02-06-2006 Hunter Wrote:I think my favorite might have been the H3 commercial with the pregnant godzilla. my hatred for hummers didn't allow me, and i do believe that it wasn't new. I've seen that one before. my favorite was the fedex: caveman one - REED - 02-06-2006 I liked the Sprint/Nextel one (locker room one) and the Ameriquest one with the doctors - JackoliciousLegs - 02-06-2006 REED Wrote:I liked the Sprint/Nextel one (locker room one) and the Ameriquest one with the doctorsThose, and the hummer one. |
