Probably the first summit weekend. If I don't make comp school in Feb I'll go down to CMP and do evals there, even though I've never even seen the track :? - .RJ - 01-17-2006 CMP = brake and tire eating fireant infested shithole. But I like it. - Evan - 01-17-2006 ugh.......cmp.... - white_2kgt - 01-17-2006 ![]() Getting there, one floor pan at a time... - white_2kgt - 01-18-2006 What once was, ![]() Is no more, ![]() ![]() God that was a bitch - Chris - 01-18-2006 woah cool! what tool did you use, I needs one of those. - .RJ - 01-18-2006 Why did you remove it? - white_2kgt - 01-18-2006 Chris Wrote:woah cool! what tool did you use, I needs one of those. 4.5" Grinder and 3-4 Cutoff Wheels .RJ Wrote:Why did you remove it? It weighed about 10lbs...and it was going to have to be trimmed to get the cage back tubes in, so I figured, fuckit, better cut it out now while I can get back there. On a second note, I just dropped $700 at pegasusracing for the final stuff needed. I picked up a 10lb halon fire system  - .RJ - 01-18-2006 Do the rules allow for removal? I would have left it in, for the marginal amount of stiffness it provides. white_2kgt Wrote:4.5" Grinder and 3-4 Cutoff Wheels Wheel of death, yes!

- Dave - 01-18-2006 you must be putting a jungle gym in the back! :-D - white_2kgt - 01-18-2006 Dave Wrote:you must be putting a jungle gym in the back! :-D Well, in AI attachment points are unlimited, so I'm going to take advantage of all the metal that is already in the car, as much as I can, rear won't be to bad, just 5 tubes or so. - JustinG - 01-18-2006 Im sure youve said this before but how many points is this cage gonna have??? I find something oddly erotic about roll cages

I find something oddly erotic about roll cages Hum, good questions, I have no idea, we will just have to count them up when it is all said and done  - JustinG - 01-19-2006 Jesus  ....."Well ive gotta 80 point roll cage in my car" - .RJ - 01-19-2006 Chad, do you have anyone that can do an FEA analysis on the cage you plan on doing? If nothing else get some balsa wood and wood glue - throwing a bunch of tubes at the car wont automatically make it stiff, as I'm sure you know
- white_2kgt - 01-19-2006 .RJ Wrote:Chad, do you have anyone that can do an FEA analysis on the cage you plan on doing? I've seen enough cages to know what I need to do, and nobody said I was throwing tubes at it
