if it takes me 4 from mclean, it shouldnt take you 5 from springfield

- Sijray21 - 01-10-2006

springfield traffic is a b!tch man....damn mclean and right next to the beltway and all.....[/sarcasm]

how fast do you go?

it usually takes me somewhere in between 4 and 5

either way it's not that much, plus don't you wanna ride around in your new svt Feersty? Wink....i put a lot of miles on new vehicles i obtain!

- .RJ - 01-10-2006

From springfield, leave a little early and take 95 -> 195 -> 288 -> 360 -> 58 (I think thats the route... confirm with mapquest).

- Andy - 01-10-2006

When does 95 normally clear up from rush hour? I'd rather get to Danville late, rather than sitting on 95.

8...? it's usually backed up for a while since the HOV and regular lanes need to clear. If you leave late prepare to arrive around midnight....i'm actually planning on doing this.

oh yeah...carpooling anyone (workers or drivers)?

Yeah I definitely want to take it on track, touring laps first, then HPDE later. I think it was made to be on track. I love my Goodyear Eagle F1's

At least.

Leaving tysons/mclean area and heading down 66 at 4pm isnt *that* bad.

- Dragon - 01-10-2006

Only takes me 4 hours from my house, straight shot down 29.

- white_2kgt - 01-10-2006

Those taking 29 down there is a new bypass around Madison Heights. Going you won't have any problem getting on it, just follow the signs. Coming back once you pass the Sheets just south of Lynchburg city limits, as soon as you pass the Regional Airport you want to take the 29South Exit, this will take you around all the new buildup in Lynchburg and around the entire Madison Heights. Cuts AT LEAST 1/2 off the drive down 29. Still watch for cops on 29, one got me last time I went down to VIR, 88 in a 55, in the truck/trailer. He pulled me over and then gave me a verbal warning. I was like phew!

oh, i didn't mean on the track or anything, i just meant driving Tongue

I'd be very hesitant to take a *new* or near new car on track unless i've driven it for a while. I still don't know how John did that :p

the traffic on friday afternoon will hit earlier than the rest of the week, but it'll probably subside around 7:30 or so on 95 south

- Evan - 01-10-2006

traffic is a fact of life in nova. Id rather leave early and sit in a little traffic than get to danville at 1am
