We ended up having to rent a U-Haul truck and trailer. As Jeff said, it can only be one-way, but that I'm not sure of. We just ended up using it one-way. - ViPER1313 - 12-18-2005 Well, we bought the car today for $150. The Bad: Car does have low compression in one cylinder (210 in all others, 150 in one) - rings are most likely shot as compression went to 190 with a cap of 10w30 in it. Not a big problem - it can drink a little oil until I can find the time to drop a new engine in it. Drivers side seat torn up Me being an idiot and connecting the battery backwards (the terminals were not labeled, were the exact same length, and were crossed at one point when I was following them that I didn't see.) Took out a fusible link in a cloud of smoke and who knows what else. Fuel pump does not prime Car most likely has 193k miles on it, but the title states 93k actual mileage. Needs a battery tray, a few wires, and the radiator / fan / headlights / grill need to be bolted in. Now, the Good: The fuel pump probably wont prime because the guy didn't hook the battery up correctly and it is missing the - battery to chassis ground wire. Easy fix. Car seems to be well maintained other than the compression issue - correct plugs and wires (very expensive), Protech sticker on the intake, no oil in the plugwells (rare), no rust, paint is straight (although it has been repainted.) New radiator Newer struts (look like they might be Tokicos) Newer swaybar end links New exhaust The car should inspect with little work. Now I just need a way to get it to MD within the next 2 weeks 8) - ScottyB - 12-18-2005 merry christmas Adam! - Chris - 12-18-2005 another great find, hope it works out for ya. |
