- Feersty - 12-05-2005 Holy shit dude I didn't know it had all that. I like your 2004 a lot, is there a time I can check it out... I work in Chantilly. Wish I could buy a car as fast as you... - .RJ - 12-05-2005 Feersty Wrote:I like your 2004 a lot, is there a time I can check it out... I work in Chantilly Uh, rob - http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=192967818 .... He's asking $20k. Dont waste his time. - Feersty - 12-05-2005 Links dead and I know that. - .RJ - 12-05-2005 The link works just fine. - Sijray21 - 12-05-2005 if i had the money and in the market right now i would seriously consider your car....if you still have this in the summer...mmm - Nick325is - 12-05-2005 I really like the new car Lee. Looking forward to you bringing that thing down to school and giving me a ride Nick - Feersty - 12-05-2005 .RJ Wrote:The link works just fine. Now it does.. - ButtDyno - 12-05-2005 Holy crap! That's a lot of boost. Where are you getting the wheels powdercoated? I have some 17x8 Enkeis coming in (soon) that I might want to have done in a different color... and I would definitely like to redo the Rotas and/or the stock Miata wheels. john - WRXtranceformed - 12-05-2005 Thanks again for the comments guys.. sadly I've been too busy already to even play around with it some more, and it's going to be another week or two before I can legally drive it. AND I have to figure out a way to make it pass emissions heh. Rob you can check it out any time, but I never bring it to work. I drive a shitbox Toyota truck to work in Chantilly =p If any MM'er has a serious interest in the car, I'll take a grand off the asking price. John, a friend of my brother's father does it partly for a living. He has the oven and everything set up at his home, and apparently it's pretty easy to do. If you joined me when I get them done I'm sure he'd hook you up for free too, I'll have to get the details. I'll definitely enter it in the car show in the spring, but it needs a lot of little things to make it shiny like diamond. A good wash / wax, new springtime shoes, some interior touchups / cleaning, and a bigtime cleaning under the hood. I'm still debating what parts to remove from my car to put on the STI. There are a few scratches in interior quarterpanels and stuff on the STI that I could fix just by swapping out with the WRX, but on the other hand I don't want to hurt the resale value. - Beej - 12-05-2005 The kit is a little too aggressive for me, but she's a beauty. Gotta be a fun one. - .RJ - 12-05-2005 WRXtranceformed Wrote:I'll definitely enter it in the car show in the spring, but it needs a lot of little things to make it shiny like diamond. Lee - I'm buying an orbital buffer this week, you're welcome to use it and any of the paint cleaner/polish/wax/glaze stuff I have, since I've got way too much to ever use all of. - WRXtranceformed - 12-05-2005 Thanks a lot dude, I'll take you up on that! I'll come up to chill out as soon as I get this thing registered and street legal. I definitely want to make it to the MM partay. - ButtDyno - 12-05-2005 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Thanks again for the comments guys.. sadly I've been too busy already to even play around with it some more, and it's going to be another week or two before I can legally drive it. There's an MAIC guy running W/I who had the emissions guy thinking that his equipment was broken ![]() WRXtranceformed Wrote:John, a friend of my brother's father does it partly for a living. I have just had problems finding a shop that actually says they'll do it. I'm thinking the stock Miata wheels would look good in black. Same thing for the Subzeroes... - HAULN-SS - 12-05-2005 To solve your emissions problem, simply drive to some southern part of the state for the inspection - WRXtranceformed - 12-05-2005 Hrm I'll have to look into the WI. Another stealth ninja way I thought about passing emissions is to peel the sticker off of my WRX, get it reinspected, then peel the new inspection sticker off, put it on the STI, and put the old sticker back on the WRX. This could probably get me into a lot of trouble, but I don't know if cops ever even check the VIN numbers against safety inspections and stuff unless they're really picking apart your car. Or unless it's in your record from your plates maybe? I'm confused by all the inspection bureacracy nonsense. - .RJ - 12-05-2005 HAULN-SS Wrote:To solve your emissions problem, simply drive to some southern part of the state for the inspection That wont work, he'll have to list the car as garaged in a non-emissions -checking county of the state, and then go get a sticker from that county - easy to do if you're in harrisonburg a lot. - WRXtranceformed - 12-05-2005 .RJ Wrote:Which I am! That sounds like the easiest and safest route to me.HAULN-SS Wrote:To solve your emissions problem, simply drive to some southern part of the state for the inspection - HAULN-SS - 12-05-2005 what? ive never had a garage run to see where my car was garaged for an inspections..once again..down south - .RJ - 12-05-2005 HAULN-SS Wrote:what? ive never had a garage run to see where my car was garaged for an inspections ? You just listed it on the DMV application when you register the car. - HAULN-SS - 12-05-2005 right, but the garage never cross referenced that...and if they did, it was done by hand and probably wasnt sent in until the end of hte month, at which time i already have a sticker, which is good enough to not get pulled |
