ok so here is the scoop. bad in my days at jmu. a couple (almost three) years ago... we had a bunch of car stereo break ins, including mine. basically those dumb ass low rider towny boys. they did know to wear gloves... but they didnt know the easiest way to break into an A1 chassis VW... and you can look that up online. maybe they'll do their research, but the towny government went light on those boys since it was just jmu students... i guess. though i heard a bunch of them had to buy new tires the next morning.

If you have a civic or aftermarket rims, a set of keyed lug nuts may be the best $10 you ever spent.......

of his sister or her car?

i dont have a modified car, but i do have a lifted truck and i thought it was safe up here, considering crime rate in va beach is almost as high as it is in nova.... i took my truck to midas to get work done on it at the beginning of the Fall of 03' semester, and when i went to pick it up the guys asked about all my stereo stuff... i thought nothing of it besides a couple of townies who hadnt seen a nice truck in a while.

got home from my girls place at 4am that night, then got up to go to my 8am and walked outside to a "would have been" totaled truck. i had over $5,000 worth of stereo shit and other gadgets inside the truck stolen. they happened to know every bolt size and where every screw was as it was taking apart, not ripped out. none of my bolts or screws were stock because i had a lot of fabricated pieces... damages ended up totallin in the neighborhood of $8,500 and having 39 tickets we did not report it to insurance, because it was high enough.

the police wouldnt do anything, not even call a detective to the scene so my dad highered a private investigator and it turned out two kids that worked at midas were on probation for grand theft and had no alleby (sp?) for the night my truck was hit... u can assume all u want but there was nothing further we could do because its not about what u know, its about what u can prove.

~sorry to hear about all other instances, i feel ur pain

- Mike - 04-06-2004

that really blows, and is the erason i don't do anything to my stereo anymore (crappy headunit and 2 speakers own!). might i ask how you got 39 tickets?

- snydercm - 04-06-2004

most (25ish) are improper equipment (altered suspension, exhaust, lift law, etc.)... the cops like to fuck with my truck. i got a few speeding, one accident, one following to closely, and for the others dont ask... its a distinguished list of reckless driving tickets that even with the help of a notable attorney have cost me hundreds of dollars in fines, to lose my liscense once, and even serve time.

...that shit didnt phase me back then but when i look back, its plan stupidity.

DierwulfBL, are you reading?

- DierwulfBL - 04-07-2004

well RJ i guess the fact that i have no accidents and no tickets to phase me i guess ill have nothing to look back on now that i dont drive anymore than 10 over :-\ I drive more conservative than most, i drive nice and slow so the cnt mgnt can attract your mom, and it works. Speaking of which i need to hit it again soon, the burn went away.

- .RJ - 04-07-2004

That was really bad.

Try harder next time.

- Mike - 04-07-2004

I thought it was decent, a good first effort. Always nice to have some new blood willing to jump in to the fray.
