Damn, sorry to hear that Chad. What kind of LSD do you have?

I've been off in that same location twice, and both times it was a result of the outside rear wheel not getting enough torque transfer from the LSD. Once I replaced the viscous unit with a better LSD, the problem was rectified.

Good luck with your repairs!

Use less 'happy pedal' instead?

- Nick325is - 10-24-2005

Sorry to hear about your car Chad. Glad you are ok and I hope that you get back on the track soon.

Sorry to see it happen Chad. Mark Adkins called me over the weekend since he was there and told me what happened. I'm sure you'll be back out on the track in no time at all though.

- Jeff - 10-24-2005

This is sad to see. That car was/is so badass. Get her fixed up!! Glad to hear you are ok!

- BLINGMW - 10-24-2005

That one already has an engine and everything! Just swap your numbers over and you're ready to race!

- Mike - 10-24-2005

and it has a motor! lol...

did you ever think you'd have trouble finding a cheap mustang? Tongue

- Evan - 10-24-2005

do you really need a new shell? couple dented panels, frame is still straight....seems overboard to me

- PDenbigh - 10-24-2005

Looks like we'd better get busy on the climate control in that garage...

Along with a fridge stocked with Mt. Dew, a couple of french maids to keep us fed and clean and "relaxed", a couple of LaZyboys for powernaps, and a plasma TV set to Speedvision and Spike.

Depends on for how much he can get a new shell. That damage will add up quickly counting pannels, bumpers, and painting. He's also not sure the rear frame is ok, yet. Also, it'd provide the opportunity for doing it "right" the first time (seam weld, etc). Of course, all pending he finds a good deal somewhere.

- Mike - 10-24-2005

can you seam weld in ai?

I've been talking to him, he wants 4k for it. WAY to much. I'm gonig to an auto auction where they go for 2-2.5

Yea, front strut tower is bent, rear support is bent. A 'couple' of dented panels added up to 3600 with paint (no labor).

Saunders has the furnace for me, I just need to get it converted to propane then we can install it Smile.

Yes you can.

Just FYI I looked through the manheim auction catalogs I had and there were no v6 mustangs 99 or 2000 those two weeks. GTs were going for close to 10k though.

That's why I'm not going to manheim, I'm going to York. The more $$$ stuff is sold at manheim and the cheap stuff is sold in York.

- Mike - 10-28-2005

mannheim steamroller?

- JohnC - 10-28-2005
