- Mike - 10-05-2005 count me in... once i figure out what route i'm going i'm going to need a fresh motor. - Chris - 10-05-2005 you guys are going to become very good business partners with Japan... especially their overnight department  - Kaan - 10-05-2005 oh oh... i wana be the "mad scientist"... i have to paint my nails and lose about 100lbs though. - Kaan - 10-05-2005 LorenaBeana Wrote:.RJ Wrote:Smaller and lighter..... 2JZ IS300 might be out of our leagues right now but we'll give it a shot!

You could save yourself all that trouble and just be Igor instead. - Kaan - 10-05-2005 "yessss masster!" - Evan - 10-05-2005 a couple years ago I was taking auto tech classes at NoVA, and I was about to take the engine building class(es) but then I got a new job that owns my life, and I had to stop. Now that Im job hunting again (or should be soon) if I can get a slackass 8-4 job Ill pick the classes back up and start building engines. I really really want a healthy miata engine. Its almost sad. Like a kid on christmas that only wants a cookie, some bubblegum, and those green army men. - Kaan - 10-05-2005 did they have any requirements for the autotech classes? - Mike - 10-05-2005 yeah, you couldn't look like you! oooooo snap sooo colllld! - .RJ - 10-05-2005 Kaan Wrote:oh oh... i wana be the "mad scientist"... i have to paint my nails and lose about 100lbs though. Rip apart the bun and replace the onion rings you fried
- Kaan - 10-05-2005 one 6 hour evening class on thursdays this semester... not too bad ok ok ... i take it you guys dont want me to touch the engines... its ok i get it! but i'll take the class... at least automotive engines 1. - Kaan - 10-05-2005 why do j00 guys like to pick on me? never hurt the fat tech inspectors feelings before you need log books! lol
- Evan - 10-05-2005 you're supposed to take the intro to auto tech 101 or whatever before you take anything else. im not sure if its enforced - navin - 10-05-2005 I've had my eyes on a setup a friend has laying around (honda mechanic) b20 block w/a b17a crank.. I'd like to do a buildup of that, and scavenge parts off my present motor, but then again these are just pipe dreams.. - Kaan - 10-05-2005 umm you know you still need to use B20 pistons becaues of the bore right? and why destroke the motor? i'm guessing you want a high reving big bore 1.7L but there are better ways!
- Mike - 10-05-2005 i'm guessing navin knows something we don't :-P - Evan - 10-05-2005 back to the subject of lowering rotational weight.... ![]() bL1nG! traffic is gonna be fun! - Mike - 10-05-2005 oh me oh my... "good luck with that" - Jeff - 10-05-2005 BLING BLANG!!! - navin - 10-05-2005 b20 + b17a crank = 1.9L B20/VTEC w/o sacraficing rev's... Arias makes custom pistons for it, and I believe Eagle makes rods for the setup ![]() Mike K from honda-tech had a similar setup, the dyno charts were sick! |
