- navin - 09-18-2005 I whore out craigslist, but then again most of my friends moved into their own respective places when I moved back home.. Guess I'll just have to wait.. - Sijray21 - 09-18-2005 when are you looking to move? i'm looking for a place, depending on the rent, location and condition and i would love to move to ballston/clarendon please let me know, i'm on the fence right now, but i could be easily swayed. - Mike - 09-18-2005 when? whenever i find something. i'm in no rush. if you need a few months i can wait, but moving in the winter sucks. - Sijray21 - 09-18-2005 i'd really like to move sometime in a couple months (but i'm also in no rush), the whole car situation right now / parts / bike / immediate costs are bogging my financial situation. I feel in a couple months i can be ready for a deposit and such. I would rather shoot for $600 - $650/mo + utilities, but i know it's kinda low. I don't really want to pay more than $800 after utilities. I would love to move there though. - Mike - 09-18-2005 600-650 is doable in that area, but not gonna be as nice as that place i just listed (duh). i'll keep in touch. - Sijray21 - 09-18-2005 yeah that's really nice, i wouldn't mind the 700/mo rent for that main floor room actually. And a house would be nice for the parking situation (hopefully). i'm getting interested, just keep me informed. - Feersty - 09-18-2005 Anything better than Clarendon/Ballston, where cheaper rents can be had? Or is everything in one general location? I would rather be close to work than close to bars...but that is just me.. - Evan - 09-18-2005 dont you have to have a job before you can be close to work? - Mike - 09-18-2005 Feersty Wrote:Anything better than Clarendon/Ballston, where cheaper rents can be had? Or is everything in one general location? Huh? Everything? Huh? Yeah cheaper "rents" can be had if you want to move West. I value being close to my friends, a metro ride in to DC, and being close to night life than being close to work. - .RJ - 09-18-2005 Well if y'all need space to wrench my place isnt far... just give me some advance notice and bring the beer
- Ginger - 09-18-2005 I'm in with the rest of you guys, but I can also wait a couple months for a good deal to be had. Does that make 3 or 4 of us so far? We could probably fill a house pretty easily - .RJ - 09-18-2005 Shit if you found a house w/ garage i might be inclined to move... but not likely, i've got a lot of crap and after moving twice since January... no thanks. - Ginger - 09-18-2005 MM House? Bling. - .RJ - 09-18-2005 With 2 or 3 cars per person and a few bikes.... it would be a disaster ![]() There'd be tires, engine blocks, tools, car mags everywhere...... - ScottyB - 09-18-2005 .RJ Wrote:There'd be tires, engine blocks, tools, car mags everywhere...... sounds familiar  ah, the smell a cylinder head bathing in simple green when sitting down to breakfast at the dining room table.... - .RJ - 09-18-2005 Its a good thing all of us already had girlfriends - Evan - 09-18-2005 .RJ Wrote:Its a good thing all of us already had girlfriendsand now we dont... hrm 2+2 = ? - G.Irish - 09-19-2005 Yeah I'm looking to move out this winter too, I was thinking early in the year though. Sounds like a bad idea is a brewing... Oh, speaking of houses, my lady friend Janelle (you know the girl I didn't wrestle with at the party) rents a place 2 blocks from Clarendon metro, has like 4 roomies, large driveway, and a pool. So, if we stay tuned we can find a place like that. Who knows we might be able to find a garage. Also, I've got a buddy who might be looking to move up from Richmond so we might have enough people that we have a choice of moving into 2 places. - Feersty - 09-19-2005 Evan Wrote:dont you have to have a job before you can be close to work?
