really, you have nothing to worry about, though. by the time those shock are ready to give out you'll have the excess funds to have them revalved.

Haha, yeah, should help correct the amount of understeer I have =D. To that extent, I have read about some people who have chosen just not to upgrade the front sway bar on their HB's because they like the bias they have on it w/the rear. The springrates were obviously chosen to that end (actually from something I read written by rj on H-T).
Yeah, I was real close to going with Omni full coilovers, but at the last moment started reading about Konis/GC's...and all the amazing things people say about them. Seems like the best way to go for this amount of money.

What is the difference between the stock civic Fsway bar and the stock integra? To that end, whats the diff between the Si Fsway and the stock integra?

I found that when going to a bigger front swaybar, the car didnt understeer any more than it did before but it cornered flatter and the car turned in better.

The stock civic LCA's dont have mounting holes for the swaybar either... so use integra LCA's. I can help you with all of this if you want to haul that shitbox up to nova.

thank god you didn't go with the omnis...
fwiw, i have around a 400/500 setup without sways and the car is very neutral. i have been told this by a super-experienced instructor as well so it isn't purely mike's butt dyno talking. sure a balanced sway bar setup could help, but i honestly think you're overdoing it in the rear.

Once I have the money Ill let you know. I hadnt thought about going with the front yet, hence my lack of knowledge. To be honest I was thinking about integra disc brake conversion...but we'll see. I need to get a job first, my money from the summer is essentially gone after I order the last part needed for the rear sway bar (subframe brace). Nothing like being a broke college student :thumbup:

keith, fuck an integra brake setup. get the 11" fastbrakes kit and forget the rears for now. as long as your drums function, they're doing all they'll do.

You mean with the springrates and the sway bar? I guess theres only one way to see. If Im ever at a Autox you're at Id love to see what you think of it with the rear sway, how much difference it makes.

Eh Ill look into this more, but im pretty set on discs in the rear. As a plus, after I uprgrade the front, or do a conversion to integra brakes, and also look into a front sway bar, theres nothing else I want to do before I start saving up for a swap next summer

They're easier to work on, but honestly you're wasting your time... you'll spend more time/$$ converting to discs than changing the rear shoes 2 or 3 times (if that).
I sure as hell hate the springloaded jigsaw puzzle drum brakes too, but from a $$ standpoint it doesnt make sense to toss them.
