At least gas is cheaper in Arlington than it is anywhere else in NoVA. Now that my commute is 15 miles round-trip, I only have to fill up the WRX every three weeks... I'm saving about $150-200 in gas and about 40 hours per month of sanity by living closer to civilization again. Oh, and for the record, gas prices are the exact same as they are in San Francisco. - ScottyB - 08-26-2005 John Wrote:Oh, and for the record, gas prices are the exact same as they are in San Francisco. no kidding? that sucks. - Andy - 08-26-2005 I got a Chase PerfectCard that gives me 6% rebates on gas purchases. I attached a Mobil speedpass to it to give myself another 5 cents off per gallon. Just an idea - Mike - 08-28-2005 in the s2000 i fill up once a week at about $30 in the civic i filled up once a week at about $20 vtec > * my dad works for exxonmobil so i get 10% off too

- damnit458 - 08-29-2005 I usually fill up once every few weeks, and it costs me about 24-28 dollars for a full tank  . Ive filled up three times in the last week because ive been driving up and down from Nova and Vtech. Still though, I usually fill up on empty (meaning I have 2-3 gallons left because the gas gauge is so innacurate) with about 300-350 miles already driven. - JackoliciousLegs - 08-29-2005 Fill up today. There are rumors flying around that the hurricane has shut down several refineries and gas prices will jump tomorrow. - Sijray21 - 08-29-2005 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:Fill up today. There are rumors flying around that the hurricane has shut down several refineries and gas prices will jump tomorrow. heard the same thing, they evacuated the refineries in the gulf until the storm has made it inland. I think .05 to .08 jump.... :? I also heard since the storm was a little to the east New Orleans missed most of the devastation, mostly flooding will be the problem however. - Ginger - 08-29-2005 Yikes, that kind of thing is bad news. - Dragon - 08-29-2005 Filled up this morning with regular $47.50. On the bright side I'm up to getting about 15 mpg city, 18 highway. Man I need to ditch the BGWT for something that's easier on gas. - Jeff - 08-29-2005 Sebring takes $36ish from empty on midgrade Daytona takes $40ish on premium The Garage's C-30 Chevy uses $15 worth of gas in one trip to the landfill. That is about a 10mile run. lol... 454 + 4-speed + lead foot = less then 1mpg. - ViPER1313 - 08-31-2005 In the past month I have spent well over $200 on gas (just looked at credit card statement.) Avg fill is between $37 and $40. - JohnC - 08-31-2005 Just paid $3.09 for 93 octane hock:
- .RJ - 08-31-2005 Shit. - Kaan - 08-31-2005 I"m seriously thinking about putting and HF motor in my car... getting a tow hitch and a trailer and joining Rob in the karting world... the world should slap OPEC... god damnit! - BLINGMW - 08-31-2005 JohnC Wrote:Just paid $3.09 for 93 octane sweet! A place on our road went to $3.05 yesterday, first "3" I've seen :vomit: - Feersty - 08-31-2005 Did gas really go up $.25-$.30 last night? Oh yeah and 1 September is the day that people aren't supposed to get gas, I heard it on the radio this morning. Who is going to not buy gas tomorrow? - Mike - 08-31-2005 Feersty Wrote:Did gas really go up $.25-$.30 last night? not sure... my stattion was 2.93 last night... i'll ride by and see what it is today.
