- Mike - 03-25-2005 i don't think she plans on driving it recklessly... i doubt it happens during normal driving. - G.Irish - 03-25-2005 I'd have to agree with staying with the 2.8L if she likes it. Unless she was really hankering for something faster that seems like a more than adequate ride. - Jeff - 03-26-2005 CROSSFIRE!!!!
- 2.4L-Snail - 03-26-2005 Complete with electronically controlled spoiler  - BLINGMW - 03-27-2005 Mike Wrote:i don't think she plans on driving it recklessly... i doubt it happens during normal driving. that's what I don't understand. If it's not going to be driven hard, why pay extra for a car that's faster? That crossfire actually looks pretty sweet in that pic - Mike - 03-27-2005 people like *knowing* they have a fast car, it is just how we work. otherwise, everyone would be driving a civic/kia/cadavalier/corolla/etc. - BLINGMW - 03-27-2005 Mike Wrote:...otherwise, everyone would be driving a civic/kia/cadavalier/corolla/etc. 318? - JackoliciousLegs - 03-27-2005 crossfires are ugly. - Feersty - 03-27-2005 Crossfires are nice if the color is gunmetal, not MMforum yellow. - JackoliciousLegs - 03-27-2005 crossfires are just as shitty as the mercedes that they're built off of. if you like mercedes cars... then ok. I hate mercedes too... - Mike - 03-27-2005 Feersty Wrote:Crossfires are nice if the color is gunmetal, not MMforum yellow. yes, because a car should be judged based entirely on its color. - Jeff - 03-27-2005 JackoliciousLegs Wrote:crossfires are just as shitty as the mercedes that they're built off of. if you like mercedes cars... then ok. I hate mercedes too... They are nice road cars. Clunky shifter, not all that fast, and its small. But for a mom who likes a smaller two door vert itÔÇÖs not bad. The SRT-6 model should be a lot faster but the wing on the back just kills the look. They are stylish, thatÔÇÖs what they are designed for (for the most part). That yellow color was a limited edition thing (thank god). I don't think they are ugly, but I am not going to comment on any of my thoughts on any other brand, because lord knows no one would agree with me on any of it. Someone would find a way to bash Chrysler even if I said "I think Yugos are ugly." - ScottyB - 03-27-2005 i wouldn't say crossfires are bad persay, its just that in the company of the cars it competes against it ain't the greatest. although the SRT version is an amazing performer for what it is. - G.Irish - 03-27-2005 I'm going to have to disagree with you guys here. Any car that gets ocer 1G on the skidpad deserves some respect. I think it is underpowered for the price but if you're not really concerned with horsepower then it might be a good car for you. As for Mercedes, for the price you pay for them I agree they should not be having as many problems as they have been having of late. Still not bad cars but not a brand I'd look at if for no other reason than they don't have many manual tranny models. - Jeff - 03-27-2005 Crossfire Drift Car. First "race car" X-fire I have seen. http://www.fast-autos.net/chrysler/chryslerdrifter.html - G.Irish - 03-27-2005 Man I've gotta say that I love the way MOPAR is supporting racing. Not quite at the level of Mazda but then again Mazda doesn't sell turnkey racecars (Viper Comp Coupe). - Feersty - 03-27-2005 So Jay, does your mother even care what we debate here? Or will she get what ever she wants with out your input, or our input so to speak? - Jeff - 03-28-2005 HAR! - Sijray21 - 03-28-2005 i care about your input, and my mom cares about mine, so in essence she does care about your input she usually gets what she wants after she test drives and works out the numbers for financing, i did relay all the information from the forum, i mean we're 'car guys' with smart informaiton about cars, but mostly she just cares about gas mileage, financing, and is it fun to drive actually we just got back from the mazda dealership where she fell in love with the Mazdaspeed MX-5 but the smart thing to do is to keep the 2.8l right now and probably sell it later, the car's in good condition and i got to drive it again over this past weekend where i forgot how much power that thing actually had, so after reading some posts and driving the 2.8l z3 again i'm recommending to her that she keep her car for now and find what she really wants when she wants it later some of the cons of the mx-5....no power top and slightly more financing than her car now (when she buys it out that is) - CaptainHenreh - 03-28-2005 theguywiththeSi Wrote:some of the cons of the mx-5....no power top and slightly more financing than her car now (when she buys it out that is) Yeah, but...turbo. |
