- Sijray21 - 02-21-2005 i'm just skeptical since they've had so many push-back's and now an incredible pressure to release it i am looking forward to playing it though. The thing that frustrates me though is that i've played the japanese version in Tokyo way back in December of 2003 where it has been released for a few months already. I'm curious as to what they changed between the versions and why the big delay. - Evan - 02-21-2005 the Dec. 2003 version was "GT4 prologue" very different game. the japanese final GT4 hasnt been out all that long - Sijray21 - 02-21-2005 Evan Wrote:the Dec. 2003 version was "GT4 prologue" ahh, did not realize that. I thought that was the "GT4 game". - Mike - 02-21-2005 what is different about it? - Evan - 02-21-2005 ps2.ign.com - Mike - 02-21-2005 very different? not from what i read. fewer cars, fewer courses, otherwise it's GT4. - Maengelito - 02-21-2005 just preserved my copy at gamespot - Mike - 02-21-2005 woot, found where my copy will be! lol! i've even paid for half of it already! i wonder if they'll give me interest on that money? - Evan - 02-21-2005 $39 shipped at ecost http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=653237 - Myuki - 02-22-2005 finally...had my money reserved since november tekken 5 in a few days too - Mike - 02-22-2005 is tekken 5 any different than tekken 1? - Evan - 02-22-2005 very different? not from what i read. fewer fighters, fewer arenas, otherwise it's tekken1. Whatever. :? - Dragon - 02-22-2005 EB gets it in within the next hour over by my house, looks like Matt's leaving work early. - Mike - 02-22-2005 my dad better not f up this simple mission... - Evan - 02-22-2005 BLINGMW Wrote:went ahead and bought into the hype, ordered it up, thanks for the link Evanodd I didnt have that. it was $39 out da door for me (ps- I hate ecost with a passion. they sent me the wrong home theater reciever, wouldnt take it back without 20% restocking, and then it stopped working a month later. I do know for a fact that they are not making a dime off these GT4 sales, so I am happy to aid them loose money) - Dragon - 02-22-2005 OH YES IT IS MINE AND IT IS GOOOOOD - G.Irish - 02-22-2005 Evan Wrote:very different? not from what i read. fewer fighters, fewer arenas, otherwise it's tekken1. I played Tekken 5 in Hawaii. Its pretty badass. The speed is back, there are a few new elements in the fighting system, and there's a whole customization system too. It was pretty funny to see some of the characters people put together. After playing several thousand fights between Tekken 2 & 3 and winning the JMU King of the Iron Fist Tournament I must say I was disappointed with Tekken 4. Mostly because it was really slow and kind of crude. With Tekken 5 I might start playing again but I don't think I'll spend the time to get badass again. - Maengelito - 02-22-2005 G.Irish Wrote:Evan Wrote:After playing several thousand fights between Tekken 2 & 3 and winning the JMU King of the Iron Fist Tournament I must say I was disappointed with Tekken 4. they give an award to anyone these days looks like... you still cant beat me in street fighter, y0 |
