don't know about all that, I was under the impression mine isn't a cracked version, it's just open to make mass installations at a company easier. On my sis' laptop, it installed, DL'ed lots of updates, but that was before SP2, so who knows. But I'll second the "why SP2" thing anywho, we had to remove it on the comps at work to get them to print correctly again. :roll:

You must not have the corperate version that was widespread when XP first came out - that one is blocked.

My Windows INstaller disallows me to install any service packs or a new windows installer service. Friend of mine from Computer Support came worked on it for 45 minutes and couldnt get it to work.
