- Kaan - 12-28-2004 at least no one wants my pile.... and owning a honda in NOVA is not safe... well except my busted pile. - Mike - 12-28-2004 if you parked it somehwre for an extended period of time kaan, i guarantee it'd be gone. - ScottyB - 12-28-2004 damn buddy....i'm so sorry to hear that. i'm almost as attached to that car as you are, haha! talk about having a merry xmas, geez. on the bright side...you sure did get your money's worth out of that car. 120k miles, road trips aplenty, a track day and some good auto-x's.... i really can't believe its gone. if you need anything lemme know. i've hear this before - "if you own a honda in NOVA, but don't have a garage, then you don't own a honda" - Mike - 12-28-2004 mine isn't garaged but it is blocked in by a 4000lb vehicle every night and spends all day behind guard gates. also has a pretty pimpy security system that in a way was robbery since it was only prevention and it cost me an arm and a leg.
- bluhayz - 12-28-2004 Damn that sucks. Not sure about it but are you sure it wasn't just towed? I remember parking at the movie theatre in eisenhower and my car got towed. I came out of the lord of the rings (third one) and the car was gone. I thought someone stole it too, but then I saw the tow truck roll around and I had wished it was stolen. (It was a crappy protege back then) I dunno if they tow at the mall garage but they might? Anyways, I hope everything works out for you. - navin - 12-28-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:mine isn't garaged my old hatch had no security devices or kill switches, sometimes garaged and sometimes not. I guess its just blind luck if you don't get your car stolen.. Hope you find some leads Jason - BLAIR - 12-28-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:mine isn't garaged my freinds si was stolen in nova . he parked at the top of the driveway and pulled his parents cars in behind it. they broke into and moved both cars to steal his... CRAZY... and there are TONS more stories just like that..got to make my sister watch out for her car now too even more. surprised it isnt found yet.. it usually only takes a day.. probably will be in the DC MD area. sucks... sorry again about the bad luck... but good things always fallow the bad... trust me - Mike - 12-28-2004 Yelloa3GTI Wrote:MichaelJComputer Wrote:mine isn't garaged if they want it that bad, get through the other cars, and get past my alarm, they deserve the car. - Mike - 12-28-2004 jason, i have some info... IM me. - Feersty - 12-28-2004 When it is common knowledge post that here, thanks I am very interested. - Mike - 12-28-2004 it won't ever be common knowledge. - BLINGMW - 12-29-2004 maaaan.... that sucks. Very sorry to hear it.
- Sijray21 - 12-29-2004 most recent update: i have a lead, though vague insurance has 30 days....until January 27th until a settlement can be made. - bassmangrammy - 12-30-2004 damnit bro...I feel for you. PM me if you end up replacing. I might be able to help you find something. - Andy - 12-30-2004 My friends Type R was stolen in front of his house, and was stripped like a newbie in jail. Police found that it on tires. His brothers GSR had his wire harness, recaro seats, and CF hood stolen at Tysons Corner. The only good news was that their insurance company took care of them. The type R was replaced with a STI and the GSR was given a brand new harness, and some cash to replace aftermarket parts. Hope all works out man. Damn ricers seen F&F too many times. - Feersty - 12-30-2004 A guy I know said to look at the folks that live on Commerce Street, adjacent to Richard Byrd library. - damnit458 - 12-30-2004 Dragon Wrote:Sorry to hear about that Jay, all of us NoVA folks will keep an eye out. yeah. Sorry again to hear about that. Keep us updated on what happens with the car/insurance. GL - Sijray21 - 12-30-2004 :!: Status: Recovered :!: I'll post pics later, but thanks to Mike Geohagen (sp on last name ) my car is back in my possession He spotted it parked in a lot by the navy fed bank durring his errands! . Unfortunately the completely fucked up my steering column, front bumper, rear bumper (?), and drivers window....and i now know how to start my car without the key. They also took my cd's, head unit, socket set, torque wrench, wheel lock key, and cold air intake...stupid ugly fat lazy bastards.... :evil:but i'm still in the scene to catch these rats of life - Mike - 12-30-2004 better news that i was expecting. while still not good to hear, it's good to hear. ya know? how is it running? where is the guy who spotted it from? also, i wouldn't post his name up

Still running strong despite the lack of an intake...probably not the best thing that i drove it, but i'll be damned if i'm leaving her in that lot. Passenger side headlight is out and the rear bumper is also hit for some reason. I'll be posting pics of it. Mike found it, he's mpg9999 on the forums here, he's a good friend of mine (went to hs with him). ::processing the pictures now:: EDIT: oh yeah, i forgot they took my stock front upper strut...found out when i disconnected the battery tonight after i got it back home |
