Sat Jan 8 is the banquet, and we still have 4 spaces left for karting if anyone is interested! The cost for karting plus dinner and free beer is $50 which is a pretty good deal I think. For karting you must be there by 3:15 Sat. If dinner only, the cost is $18 per person (Jamaica house catered) and dinner starts around 7PM. The winner of the karting gets a free HPDE or race weekend and there are raffle prizes too.

would certainly help, but that doesn't really explain why his times dropped dramatically on his last run of the day.

Considering I had the same kart every time, you can't say it was the kart. I was shaving off 2/10 of a second every session, 25.775 the first session, 25.571 the 2nd, and then 25.254 the third, so it's not like my times dropped dramatically on my last run, it was a steady decline. Dropped another 2/10 during the run-off 25.030 (that one you can blame on the kart if you want since I didn't have the same kart in the run-off that I did in the qualifying sessions). Oh and G I got 3rd.

.3 from your 2nd to 3rd is pretty dramatic. either way, you did well and nobody is denying that.
