eleanor was a mustang fastback, not a gt500.

I'm pretty sure it was the GT500. In fact I'm positive. It might have been different in the older version of that movie.

i am in fact positive that it was not. did they call it one? yeah. but a lot of people put civic type r badges on their accords... does that make them civic type r's?

it was NOT a GT500 in the movie "Gone In 60 Seconds".

Not the first movie, not the second.

It was a replica in the second movie. A good replica, but a replica just the same.

I guess it makes sense that it was a replica. I can't imagine doing such violent things to such a fantastic car !
