get the VR6 A4 and take it to EIP tuning for b00st :-P it will be fun... promise

yea if it were my car id do it myself too. its kind of a pain with the a4 because you have to take the whole front end off.

A4's don't have VR6's.

And yes, DBW does suck ass. Unless it's BMW's cool throttleless system. That shit is cool as a cat's asshole.

i think he was talking about a4 vr6 as in vw a4 or (mk4) vr6 like a jetta or gti

The twin turbo v8 RS6 is teh winnar ! A solid 450 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque~~~

And omg it comes in a 4 door wagon for all of your grocery-getting needs ! =p

i seriously hope that post on audiworld was a joke of some kind.

and speaking of wagons.....there's probably 1000 hp sitting between these three, mewhahaha. (RS6, RS4, RS2)

You're prolly right. Stupid VAG. Didn't think about that. Audi A4's are B chassis...same as a Passat, correct?

10-4 good buddy. '96-02 A4's and Pissats are the B5 chassis, the newest versions are the B6

- Kaan - 10-28-2004

either way they make a V6 A4.... and EIP makes great kits that put down good power.

EIP makes a very powerful (and reasonably priced) supercharger kit for the 5V 2.8 V6. I think it was like, $3000 or something? Looked very nice and complete last time I saw it.

- Kaan - 10-28-2004

VW Sport (changed to 1552 designs)... now thats disapeared.... they took care of the Scirocco GTi

EIP took care of my GTI VR6 tubro....

both sold and gone .... their personal project car that developed the different kits puts down crazy power.

- BLAIR - 10-28-2004

there is no turbo kit for the V6 audi a4. unless your talking about a 1 off custom setup. it is common to supercharger the audi and passat V6 but not turbo.

its a 30v true v6
not like the 12v single head vr6

just out of curiosity - would it be any easier to swap in an S4 motor, ive heard that those respond really well to mods (exhaust, chip)

REED Wrote:just out of curiosity - would it be any easier to swap in an S4 motor, ive heard that those respond really well to mods (exhaust, chip)

technically you could (a few people have done the 6 speed S4 tranny swap into other A4 models) but finding an S4/A6 2.7T motor, doing all the wiring, motor mounts, etc. would probably offset the cost of just buying a used S4.

S4 motors do respond very well to mods. 50 horsepower is just a 500 dollar chip away. many people modify their S4 motors to the likeness of the euro-only RS4 and have a solid 380 horsepower car with zero reliability problems. of the 1.8T/2.8/2.7T audi engine trio, the 2.7T/S4 motor is by far the choice for easy big power.

best bet would be to bye a whole totaled s4 for the swap so youd have everything you need.. totalled cars go for anywere from 4k to 10k. im pretty familiar with the s4's being that me and my freinds have taken the motor in and out 4 times......... but its 475 hp and damn fast.. so all the damn work is worth it

- Mike - 10-31-2004

twin turbo v6 rated at 250hp? oh hells yes it has potential.
