hehe, reminds me of the engineering class where the curve (something like 15 points) more than doubled my original score.

Thermo? Wink

I think it was a comp eng class at VT. Clearly, as indicated by my score, I don't remember much of what was tought, let alone what class it actually was.

Never spend 18hrs on ANY college assignment, much less gened, does anyone actually go to those classes???

The presentation had to be an hour long between four people

We had to use powerpoint, movies, and other visual aids

We had to have class activites and other bullshit
On top of all of this she grades harshly.
Oh, and just so you all know. That night at about 2:00 when we were all disbanding, I told everyone that despite the fact that we put the project together at the last second, I thought that we would still get a good grade. Thats how much effort I put into it.
My group has at this time the highest grade in the class. A 78%. Thats how harsh the bitch grades.

Don't forget, at JMU you can take an F (or any grade even NC for that matter) on 2 classes, repeat them and get the F's removed from your record. Maybe you should think about doing this on that class and never taking that prof again.

yeah, but then you have to waste your time taking the same exact class again and "relearning" the same exact material. i did it for an f, but if i passed a class i'd have trouble brining myself to retake it.

if it makes you feel better, I slept through my midterm for organic chem lab my sophomore year. I couldnt have gotten higher than a C in the class, even if I aced all the lab reports (yeah, right) so I dropped it. Sadly, 3 years later, I still haven't taken it and have to take it next semester so I can graduate :-D

- bassmangrammy - 10-13-2004

BTW...last day to drop a class without penalty is the 21th of this month and you have to go see your freshman advisor to get the form and the signature. ---Just a thought.

- Mike - 10-13-2004

oh shit, yeah definitely drop it rather than take a bad grade then forgive/forget. i would also highly recommend may session all four years.

- Feersty - 10-13-2004

I had an idea about forgive/forget. I still have not used mine, and probably don't intend to. I think the University should pay me back some monetary value for not wasting their time in a class that I forgave/forgot anyway. Just an idea I am throwing out there.

do you also feel the school should pay you when you only take 15 credits when you're allowed 18? it just doesn't work like that. you pay for a certain number of potential classes, you take them or you don't.

i just don't see how using your time to take a class that you already paid for is wasting "their time."
