Maybe get rid of the Nardi knob? Not sure which one you have, but few knobs are shorter than the stock one. I have the oem nardi knob. This one The one that came with the car is a boot/knob combo from an NB. I might just get a drawstring-type shift boot so it's not caught up on the collar. I take it you've not driven one with the short throw kit? I had the Nardi evolution knob which is that knob but a little taller and I still didn't have much trouble punching my radio. RE: New daily/future project - 91 SE Miata - balactm - 01-23-2018 New "GV -style" front lip. Already ruined coming out of my driveway hah
RE: New daily/future project - 91 SE Miata - balactm - 02-13-2018 Not really sure why, but for some reason I've spent the last few weekends going to and from junkyards buying up spare parts... Is this the "miata life" everyone talks about? I don't even need some of the parts I bought!!! Anybody with a miata need a torsion lsd dif? I now have 2...and a spare 1.8 transmission with driveshaft... I always can use spares lol New daily/future project - 91 SE Miata - Gordonovski - 02-13-2018 (02-13-2018, 12:59 PM)Scott Wrote:(02-13-2018, 12:45 PM)balactm Wrote: Not really sure why, but for some reason I've spent the last few weekends going to and from junkyards buying up spare parts... To be honest I don't know. It came out of a 94 r package. Does that mean 4.1? To be honest, my plans change as often as the weather haha. Right now, because of finances, I will likely keep it stockish for at least a year. I've got a project bike (thread coming soonish) that I've had for almost 3 years now, did a year of work on it immediately after I purchased, and has sat for the last 2 years while I've been doing major modifications at our house (also a thread coming soonish, just need to compile pictures). I will eventually do some sort of daily friendly suspension setup, just to reduce the body rolls, would love to get some wider/lighter wheels for summer use, then more power. I found a guy selling his whole 1.6 turbo kit (currently running on his car) and said he'd give me a ride in the car to determine it's "goodness." Unfortunately, no matter how good of a deal it is, I just can't justify it right now. Gotta Adult. So for now, it's just maintenance, and replacing old stuff that breaks (like my thermostat housing, not excited).
