True. DC area not a BBQ friendly zone, that I've found.

I ♡ Willard's

Re: Weekend in D.C. - G.Irish - 10-26-2016

For cheap eats in Arlington:

-Gaijin Ramen
-District Taco
-Bon Chon Chicken
-Wiseguy's Pizza
-Pupatella (wood-fired Italian pizza, rated one of the top in DC Metro)

For BBQ that's a bit more accessible, try Texas Jacks in Arlington.

If you're sight seeing in DC, it may be worth checking out what food trucks are near you:

There are some seriously delicious food trucks out there, although some of them are a bit pricey for what they are. Check Yelp reviews first though. I used to eat from food trucks regularly when I worked in DC.

Excellent list. I'd also add Super Pollo for Peruvian chicken, which seems like a fairly unique thing to the DC area.

Bon chon is good but I don't get it people who rant about it.

Re: Weekend in D.C. - SlimKlim - 10-27-2016

I still need to try District Taco. I tried that bartaco place in Reston recently and its a pretty good spot for a cheap lunch. Didnt blow my mind or nuthin' but it ain't bad.

Re: Weekend in D.C. - JPolen01 - 10-27-2016

Been to district taco 3x. Nothing exceptional there. I don't get the hype on that place.

District Taco is solid and relatively inexpensive, but not some place I'd hype up. I eat there for lunch frequently though (saw Sean there today actually).

Taco Bamba in Tysons on the other hand, is the shit:

That would be a good place to go on your way back home along 66. My favorite is their Taco Bamba, followed by the Camaron Diablo.

The Bon Chon in Harrisonburg wasn't good at all. I probably wouldn't go back.
