You guys (whoever does this next) should totally fit a truck air horn under the hood so every time you go to pass, just yank on the mother*cker so they don't turn into you.

Well, I guess you would probably scare them into hitting you.

I suppose I was wrong about the prep level and driving experience

Don't worry, I don't blame you as "chump racers" actually try to make themselves out to be better racers then SCCA/NASA racers. They try to defend it as they say they "pass more cars in a race then you would in a SCCA/NASA race". Well yeah, you do pass a lot more, but that's because they are braking 1000 feet earlier than they should and the difference in cars is pretty amazing in speed.

If I was to do it again, I would 100% do a 325i, 95% of the speed of the top fast guys and they are built like tanks for racing. RX7 was spinning doritos and none of us knew hard details about it and it ATE gas. It honestly wasn't that bad based on Jake's estimation of 140 gallons, as we only went through 120 gallons, but we also didn't run the first 2 hours.

Jake, do you know if anybody had the sentiments that participation was down? During our 24 hour we had ~120 cars out on VIR. Wonder if the business model is starting to fade away from excitement.

What's your definition of "see where we were going"? Its Chump Car we used a hammer to smack the hood pins back straight and continued on.

I think he was referring to your continued driving. From where the camera was positioned you can't see over the hood. From the driver's seat it may have been different.
