I honestly LOVE the miata one now, but the general consensus at our meeting was no car, but maybe if they see it on a good design, the idea will change.

Color-wise you could probably do the Miata in the shirt's color (yellow or white maybe), then do halftone shadows in black. That could cut it down to a 2 color shirt.

I do not agree with a car specific shirt at all..... It needs to be neutral, imo. This should say something coming from a Mazda biased person too. Please keep any car out of it. Just my 2 cents.

What exactly is the problem with the car? Alright guys, I'm going to eat now, keep this conversation going. I'll try my best to get some renders of other stuff, but it might take a bit.
Currently, I'm planning on paying out of pocket to get a shirt design without a car for you guys, but I need a solid argument other than "I don't like it" when80% of people have owned a Miata and it's the GO-TO track car, which is the whole point of this club.
Now, if it was an E36, then that would be silly.

That. All of that right there is the problem. I want an e36 on it. But you don't. And for all we know some new student next year who just does not like non domestic cars will hate the shirt. Some other know it all will roll up and be like "well really the frs/brz would be better than a miata" etc.The shirt shows some sort of favoritism when thats not what we're about. I say we go with the tires or a steering wheel

I'm not the only one who doesn't like the idea. So..... I don't really care what car it is I won't wear it haha. I'll wear the old shirts. I'll even wear the dickbutt shirt.
Why I don't like the car idea? I don't like the idea because it makes the shirt feel biased to some people. Some people will be mad that their "favorite" car won't be on the shirt. Some people may just not like a miata or whatever car is on the shirt. Some people may just think we all just drive Miata's around or something. It just doesn't make since if we are a car club and welcome to all cars to have one car as the attention grabber on the shirt. I just don't feel like we should put any car on it.

Yeah I'm also against a car on the shirt, however the only car I'd be ok with is an E36, just because it really is an MM icon.

That isn't my argument. Even if it wasn't my favorite bonerific car I still wouldn't want it on the shirt...... Even if we were like a specific domestic car club I still wouldn't think a specific car like a 69 z28 Camaro would be a good idea.
