Re: STEAM - BLINGMW - 07-18-2013

well AOE 2 and 3 are both on sale for the next 8 hours... which one's better?
There' also AOE Online, which appears to be mostly a MMORPG. Not clear on how its pvp compares to regular 2 or 3.

*edit*
screw it maybe I should stop living in the past and just get starcraft 2

Re: STEAM - Mike - 07-18-2013

2 is better than 3 from a gameplay standpoint.
3 is many years ahead on graphics and niceness.

2 gets the nostalgia nod from me.

it's like starcraft 1 versus starcraft 2.

Re: STEAM - HAULN-SS - 07-19-2013

AOE Online was something i played for like a month and quickly got bored. It doesnt have any immediate satisfaction of knowng your "real time" strategy was better than the other guy who you just crushed

Re: STEAM - JPolen01 - 07-19-2013

Do you guys use controllers? Can I just plug an Xbox controller in and go?

Re: STEAM - BLINGMW - 07-19-2013

I don't play any games in which I would prefer a game controller over a mouse/keyboard or a wheel, so... no.

Re: STEAM - FlaakCM - 07-20-2013

Sometimes I play call of duty on steam. When I do, I use a Xbox 360 controller for the comp

Re: STEAM - JPolen01 - 07-20-2013

I'm just thinking about playing GTA and a controller would probably work best.

You're doing this wrong. Mouse and keyboard is way better than a controller for first person shooters. I'd recommend spending a while getting used to using them.

Haha. Dude, I'm aware. I grew up playing rainbow six every minute in middle school. I rocked that game with keyboard and mice.

I'm just used to controller for that game since I play it on Xbox too.

I would love to play against you and watch you turn around slowly.
