Still pricier than I'd want to pay for such a car, but it'll make a nice used car in a few years. Still hoping for that M2 though. Pretty much how I view every new(er) BMW now, "I wonder how it'll hold up 7 years later?" lol Edit: I just looked at the pics on the link and the back of that thing is U.G.L.Y. The front and the steering wheel is nice though Re: New BMW 2 Series - Evan - 10-25-2013 I think its real sharp. Much better looking than the 1. Looks a good bit bigger though, almost the size of the E46 even? cant say I could bring myself to buy one though, the pricing on luxo cars has gotten out of control. Agreed, as much as I love this little thing on paper, when you look at what you get dollar for dollar over a '15 GTI it's just not worth it. Assuming a reasonably well optioned 228i would be in the low-40s, you're looking at a $10k+ premium for RWD and 30 more HP with all the same features and creature comforts. Both are german, both will be unreliable out of warranty, both are extremely nice when new. Re: New BMW 2 Series - G.Irish - 10-25-2013 Yeah definitely way behind on the performance/dollar curve. You're paying a bit too much extra for some of the luxury features. It'll be interesting to see what price the A3 comes in at, although I suspect the only Quattro model to come with even a DCT will be the S3. And the S3 will probably be about $40k. EDIT: Actually all of the A3's will have a DCT. Not bad at all. Now if only they'd fix that reliability Re: New BMW 2 Series - Evan - 11-20-2013 *swoon* http://www.autoblog.com/2013/11/20/bmw- ... l-comments Re: New BMW 2 Series - WRXtranceformed - 11-21-2013 Why are cars now looking so much like Transformers? That car and the C7 case in point |
