well holly sh*t

I thought you'd like that, you're finally getting your RWD, stickshift, 4cylinder diesel you've been banging on about since forever.

Don't get too attached to that E46! I'd hope a 320d or 325d or however the brand it wouldn't be too blisteringly expensive if you didn't pile every option onto it.

The only thing I remember seeing about the Diesel Cruze is that it would get the exact same mileage as the gas version..so that was kind of a letdown

and if it were a wagon, you (collective internet diesel fanboys) would say "if it only it had awd id put my money down right now"

and if it were an awd diesel wagon you (collectively) would say "if only it was a 6 speed then mazda take my money"

and if it were an awd diesel wagon 6 speed, you (collectively) would say "it should be under 20k, its too expensive, ill wait to buy used"

:bootyshake: the internet
I foresee this post being reposted many a time in this forum in the future re: Stuff We Want but Won't Actually Pay For.

And he'll probably retire a few million richer than the rest of us because of it.

Thats pretty much where I'm at. I'm not going to buy something with a diesel motor that I wouldnt buy with a gas motor :dunno:

I bought a new car almost 4 years ago (holy shit) so that ship has sailed for the time being.... would've loved a diesel option then, and if there was a diesel Ridgeline in the works then I'd think about trading in.

apparently a 1500 Ram in a diesel is OTW to.

Good, beat GMC and Ford who have been "sneak-peaking" pics of a smaller diesel for 7 years now; and never going through with it.

Isnt the new Titan supposed to be getting a small diesel, the ram has one, and now chevy midsizes are? Definitely awesome.

I am glad I bought my GMC diesel before the ram 1500 was announced to have diesel, otherwise I would have been tempted to spent wayyyy too much money

Re: Diesel fanboys: time to put up or shut up - .RJ - 08-28-2013

Titan is getting a V8 diesel, I think 4.5L? Not small.

Re: Diesel fanboys: time to put up or shut up - BLAIR - 08-28-2013

Didn't bother reading the previous posts but I'm a HUGE diesel fan! I DD a 2003 TDI jetta wagon 5 speed. While it is not fast or exciting it makes for what believe to be the ultimate DD! 45 ish mpg city isn't to bad either! Currently diesel prices have gone down. Near me they are below premium prices!

Re: Diesel fanboys: time to put up or shut up - JPolen01 - 08-28-2013

Titan is getting a duramax I believe.

Re: Diesel fanboys: time to put up or shut up - SlimKlim - 08-28-2013

Since we're just talking about general diesel fetishes, I've had a long standing itch to buy one of these Grandpa-mobile E320 CDIs:

But make it look like this:

And install this:

with this exhaust:

To make a ~500ft-lb badass looking luxo-barge that got high-30s on the highway and could curl up the pavement getting off the line.

Titan and maybe Tundra are getting a small V8 Cummins. I think it was a huge F-up on Ram's part not getting this engine (or rather an I-4 Cummins) for the 1500. Ram is using the Italian diesel they are putting in the Grand Cherokee. :vomit:
