yes, agreed. It's nice to put a lot of miles down when i can't really run/walk a lot of miles due to bad knees (cartilage removed/damaged from a HS long-jump accident)

this is true. that said i doubt we could do more than 5-6 miles together though...she's not conditioned for it. her bike might go 25 miles a year at best.

then again she told me she'd never be interested in camping and yet....here we are.

My 330# of man, kid, and machine can easily keep up with a fit person who rides thousands of miles/year (i.e. Mikey). I can even dust him on hill climbs, but it's still sweat inducing exercise.
