Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - Sully - 07-11-2017 Do the M front end parts, bumper, good, fenders, bolt right onto the wagon or is modification necessary Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - JPolen01 - 07-11-2017 Sully Wrote:Do the M front end parts, bumper, good, fenders, bolt right onto the wagon or is modification necessaryIdk about the e46 gen, but the e90 gen needs pretty extensive work to get the M fenders/front end on I believe. Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - Sully - 07-11-2017 Yea I saw that e90 m3 conversion in an article once. That one looked really well done if I recall. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - D_Eclipse9916 - 07-11-2017 That one doesn't even look like it is converted (no m fenders etc) and the knockoff non-m "m style" bumpers are easily and cheaply available. If you want real wide m3 stuff you have to swap the whole shevang (headlights, fenders, bumper) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - Sully - 07-11-2017 Yea the one he posted is not but I've been driving past one for sale (probably an auto anyways) on the side of the road lately and have just been thinking about it. So it is possible as long as you do everything or would you have to change out the radiator support and custom fit things. Like are the front doors the same so the fender would sit right? Sent from my VK810 4G using Tapatalk Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - *insertusernamehere* - 07-12-2017 Honestly if I could just zhp appearance mod a 325i 5speed touring I'd be happy camper. Very happy. Gimme dat red interior too. Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - D_Eclipse9916 - 07-12-2017 Ah dumby dumb dumb. I don't know if it will all fit on an m3 wagon. I would just do the non m3 "lookalike m3" bumper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - .RJ - 07-12-2017 I want to get an E91 (E90 wagon) and swap a 335 drivetrain into it. Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - .RJ - 07-13-2017 I disagree that its better, especially for a wagon. The turbos are going to have way more torque and a broader powerband, I have the same motor in my 135 and its fuckin' awesome. Sure it revs a little lower and maybe not the same top end but more area under the curve for sure. 400hp isnt far away with a tune, either. Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - JPolen01 - 07-13-2017 I back up that claim with no science. Just my fetish for anything with 4 doors and a v8. Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - SlimKlim - 07-13-2017 Nah the I6 makes more sense. I have fetishized buying an E39 530i Sport and transplanting N55 into it. M5 power, I6 fuel economy, and a steering rack that doesn't feel like it was made in 1947. Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - Senor_Taylor - 07-13-2017 SlimKlim Wrote:Nah the I6 makes more sense. Back in my day, we steered with brute force and instilled a deep fear into our tires that if they didn't turn we told them too, we'd give 'em 40 lashes. It sounds as if you keep the same year chassis-to-chassis its not so bad, and I think finding a 335 with a rear end collision would allow you to drop the whole front subframe off the 335 and transplant it into the wagon. I'd still need to sort out exhaust, front cooling (intercoolers, oil coolers) and the ECU (DME) programming is a wildcard, I know nothing about that. I promise not to drag a rusty heap over to DJ's lift like that E30  Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - D_Eclipse9916 - 07-14-2017 Outta luck. No more projects for my lift as we will be gone in 4-6 months and I got a race car to build.
