Wish I coulda been with you guys Sat night, but after the previous two days all I could think about was getting to sleep. I probably crashed around 9:30 or so.

BTW John I did get your message and let both Laura and Chris know that you wouldn't be able to make it down.

Thanks Matt!

Last weekend was better... we were up to mid 60s on Sunday... Smile

did anybody get passed off to the next level this weekend?

I thought I would, but my instructor felt it wasn't worth advancing too quickly. I totally agree and can simply learn to be smoother and keep looking ahead more.

VIR credits - NASAlaura - 02-21-2005

Everyone,
Thanks for coming out to VIR..........all of you are a reason for our continued success, and you make our events all the more fun. Glad to see some new faces this time and wish I could have personally met everyone. Our 3 ring circus can sometimes make it hard for me to sit and enjoy the company!

I want to apologize for the confusion about worker credits and it is totally my fault. I went back through my old e-mails to Chris P. and saw the e-mail from October 04 where we had discussed experience flaggers getting paid but trainees getting credits. I had forgotten that back in October we did offer credits. When we had our staff meeting in January, we decided that for the actual first training weekend there would be no credits. For the following weekend when they had more experience, we would offer credits, and for the 3rd weekend, we would offer payment. I looked at my e-mails to the Clemson guys, and I did communicate that to them but did not communicate the change to Chris. I did not state the rules to you since I thought they had not changed since November when we did the other flagging course. My fault for not being more clear in my e-mails to you and for not sharing that info on the forum board.
We will offer credits for all the trainees at VIR this past weekend. They will not need to send in their worker books to me. When they go to use their credits, I will remember this particular weekend's issues since the date and flagging training is marked in the booklet. For Keith who had taken the course back in November and expected to be paid for this event, we will also send payment. I just need his address.
I sincerely apologize because I know that must have ended the weekend on a sour note for those expecting credits. I do hope everyone had fun and will come back soon!

Laura

Damn.

I have worked about three weekends doing flagging. Twice at Summit Point and I believe once at VIR(Valentine's 200, 2002). I have already sold the credits so I don't know what weekends those were. All I would really need is a refresher course since I pretty much know what flags to throw already. I guess I wanted to see what category I fell into once I decided to work a track weekend to ensure there is absolutely no confusion.

Would it be safe to assume then, that I fall under the "old" schedule?
