Didn't read the article, but diesel is still 40-50 cents more per gallon than gas and costs more to maintain. Plus higher initial upfront cost. The real question (when talking about half ton trucks) is why not gas?

Depends on your location. Around reston/sterling diesel is 40-50 more than regular (or about the same as 93), but out in Winchester it's only about 10 cents more than regular, and cheaper than premium. I don't know if that is a tax thing or not because you'd think we'd be pretty close to the same distribution areas.
