- Kaan - 01-08-2008 Is Gibbs retiring again? - Evan - 01-08-2008 ![]() ...what a season.. - Kaan - 01-08-2008 Evan Wrote: Things were just starting to get good for the skins too. A disapointing knock out in the first round, but still... they were looking good and should have been happy going into next year. Hopefully if he is retiring, that they will find someone that can carry this momentum into next year. - Evan - 01-08-2008 I agree. The team really came together as a unit this season, I think Gibbs leaving breaks that up - Apoc - 01-08-2008 I think you're better off in the long run. If he was going to leave the following year you might as well start fresh as soon as possible. - Mike - 01-08-2008 even if we win 4 games next season, i think this is a good thing. - Kaan - 01-08-2008 Bill Cowher could be the next coach? - John - 01-08-2008 Kaan Wrote:Bill Cowher could be the next coach? Why do you say that? Any chance of Greg Williams? - Kaan - 01-08-2008 Cowhers contract with the steelers is done. You dont have to give up draft picks to make him your coach anymore... - Evan - 01-08-2008 2 good coaches on staff now, they wont go anywhere to get one. - John - 01-08-2008 Kaan Wrote:Cowhers contract with the steelers is done. You dont have to give up draft picks to make him your coach anymore... Guy who works for me from Pittsburgh says that Cowhers has made it known that he won't be returning to coaching until his daughters are out of school (family focus). hrug:

But it was already rumored that Bill Cower and Dan Snyder met together this summer, more than once if I remember correctly. They might have some kind of secret deal in the works, and I wouldn't be surprised because Snyder is a sneaky bitch. That being said, I would still prefer that Gregg Williams is promoted to head coach. I don't think this team is that far away from being a top NFC team and some consistency would help significantly. - Apoc - 01-26-2008 Evan Wrote:2 good coaches on staff now, they wont go anywhere to get one. Not anymore! 'Skins fire coordinators Williams, Saunders; head coach search continues http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10601393 - Evan - 01-26-2008 I almost thought Snyder learned how to stop sucking. At least this means Fassel is out (he wanted to bring his assistants) fwiw, many of the players wanted Williams as head coach my bet is that they try to sign New Englands OC - Hunter - 01-26-2008 My bet is that the new coach will be Steve Spagnuolo (D-coordinator) from the giants. I think Snyder has been banking on the giants losing so he can give Spag an interview, but they just keep winning. Spagnuolo has coached for both the eagles and giants, so he knows the division well. He's well regarded around the league as one of the best young (relative term) defensive minds in football and is certain to get a head coaching shot sometime in the near future. And hey, why not take the bright minds from our division rivals? - Feersty - 01-27-2008 The got to find a head coach that practices Scientology. - navin - 01-27-2008 W-T-F?! - Hunter - 01-27-2008 I don't even know whats going on anymore. As soon as it became official that Gregg Williams wouldn't be here anymore, 4 teams called to have permission to interview him to be their new D-coordinator. (aka every single one that's looking for a D coordinator) Way to go Dan, let's just let go of the guy who is widely regarded as one of the best defensive coaches in football. Dick. - Hunter - 01-27-2008
