Sounds like you need to sell the truck and stick with one car, with full insurance.

Just my .02 cents, but the right thing to do in this situation is for whoever wrecked the car to pay you "fair" value and take the car to try to gain back whatever they can. Sucks, but that's how life works.

I've said it 10000000 times. The truck is not mine to sell. It's not even paid off. I'll be okay.

That's what I wanted to do, but they don't have the money to do that, so they're selling a motor and giving me whatever they get for it and letting me keep the car. This isn't a perfect world, so whatever I do, there is compromise. I'm used to it.

You'll all be happy to know that I didn't take any of your advice and I bought Chan's E46. Big thanks to Matt for getting me the money as soon as he could, and I logged in a solid 130 hours at work over winter break to cover the rest of the money and build up some for inevitable repairs. I drove to Roanoke early to swap titles so when I showed up Saturday morning, I had tags and insurance on the car and we swapped the Miata for the E46.
