Here's from an earlier build: RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - RawrImAMonster - 11-01-2019 Diablo IV is going to be announced later today. They are supposed to be returning to a Diablo II style in a lot of ways so I'm definitely pumped to see where they take it. Diablo II is my favorite game of all time so it's going to be hard to live up to that, but a new main Diablo title is always exciting. It also seems likely that Overwatch 2 will be announced later today as well. Overwatch is probably the only modern game I've put a bunch of time into so that's exciting as well. Blizzcon opening ceremony is from 2-3 EST so they'll both most likely be announced then. RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - CaptainHenreh - 11-01-2019 Hong Kong has a human right to self determination and governance. Yeah a big for profit company put money over supporting human rights, what's new? Try boycotting every big company that has had shady business practices. Unless you're planning on living in the woods and not touching electronics for the rest of your life, it's not going to happen. Regardless, leave the politics for a politics thread. I've got my popcorn out for how Blizzard is gonna tiptoe around this or outright fuck it up during Blizzcon. Based on what I've been seeing from the Diablo and Overwatch subreddits, they're going to announce Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 and everyone is going to forget they cared. But you go out and ban a pro-player and claw back his winnings for being pro Hong Kong and now you've created a needless firestorm. Majority of players don't care, but it only takes a small number of people to create another incident that will anger China, and in turn put pressure on Blizzard to do something heavy-handed and dumb. I don't boycott Blizzard on purpose, I don't care for their games and I'm glad Bungie escaped. And yeah, yeah, politics, but we live in a global world now, and China's in yer base, Killin yer d00ds, so to speak. Blizz's response was hamfisted and dumb, but it won't be the last hamfisted and dumb response from a video game publisher over offending china. Yep, a lot of gaming companies have taken large investments from Tencent including Riot Games, Supercell, Discord, Ubisoft, and a bunch of others. I wanna say there are other Chinese companies that have big stakes in some videogame companies. All that money is gonna force some tough choices on those companies sooner or later. Maybe the HK protests will die down and the issue will go away for awhile, but I feel like China's human rights record has gotten just enough attention recently that the issue won't quite go away. And with the way the regime is now trying to clumsily muzzle foreign companies and citizens they're attracting even more attention to their human rights record. RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-01-2019 I only came in here to say Borderlands 3 is epic and FL4K shreds. That is all RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - Deceus - 11-03-2019 (11-01-2019, 05:53 PM)WRXtranceformed Wrote: I only came in here to say Borderlands 3 is epic and FL4K shreds. That is all I'm still salty I picked Zane for my first playthrough. It was a slog getting through all the bosses. Had to go back to grind a level or 2 and farm better weapons more than a few times and it never really got easier. Tried out a decent end game build but mayhem mode still just felt shitty. Saw a few videos on Flak builds and just re-rolled. Hit 50 just in time for all the nerfs but absolutely blew through the game. Haven't really touched it since, kinda killed it for me. RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - WRXtranceformed - 11-03-2019 Yeah FL4K crit build with Queen's Call / King's Call or a Moze incendiary build are the metas. Zane seemed too complicated to play well, hopefully they'll give him some buffs in the next expansions RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - JustinG - 11-21-2019 if anyone is giving Stadia a try look me up. Mn3ypit Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - Senor_Taylor - 12-10-2019 Picked up The Master Chief Collection on Steam. Halo Reach looks like a brand new game in 2019. Also started up a Minecraft Server with Me, Tyler, Zach, and Matthew. Let me know if you want the IP. Additionally, MLB: The Show confirmed coming to at least Xbox and Switch in 2021. I'm hoping for PC as I don't have an Xbox, but either way, I'm very excited. There has not been a substitute since 2K went away. This is the first Pokemon game i've ever played and it reminds me of when i played FF VII as a kid with the turn-based fighting dynamic. It also appeals to my completion-ist style of gaming. Pretty different than stuff i've played in the recent past and i get why people are into the series now. I enjoy the ability to just put the controller/switch down and deal with something IRL without affecting the game progress; casually playing it is nice. RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - Senor_Taylor - 05-03-2020 Has anyone played Horizon 4? What's the point of driving or buying any different cars if every race can be done with the same car? |
