Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Jeff - 11-02-2009 Wow...that is freakin sweet. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 11-02-2009 Ok what's the next step; I bought Rex's SKS a couple months ago, and I like it, but I can't figure out the stovepiping issue. We both thought it was either the gas piston or the tube, but I've replaced both with brand new units and I still get stove-piping about 1 out of every 7 or 8 rounds. I'm fairly new to this gun (i.e. I haven't fucked with it much) so what's the next step/next thing I should check to try to resolve this issue? Is it always the same round in the mag? i.e, always the last or always the first or something like that? Could be magazine related. You should also wrap some tape around the joint where the gas tube joins the gas block...if the tape gets torn up, then it's not making a good seal and you're losing gas somewhere. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - JustinG - 11-02-2009 rex just sold you a shitty gun, thats all. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ryan T - 11-02-2009 It always does it on the first round, beyond that it is somewhat random. Sometimes I can run a whole mag through it without it jamming but 80% of the time it does it randomly at least two or three times per mag. I'll try the tape thing next time I get out to the farm. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ole - 11-10-2009 Any of you guys go shooting at Blue Ridge in Chantilly? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - KPWSerpiente - 11-10-2009 Yes I have. I went there last week for the first time and will prob go there every week from here on out. Tues is Military appreciation day so prob that day of the week. ![]() New AR. Don't comment on my flag folding job. -T Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Jewels - 11-10-2009 Ole Wrote:Any of you guys go shooting at Blue Ridge in Chantilly? I prefer the NRA. Blue Ridge is subpar in my opinion. Also, I've heard of some sketchy shit going down there. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 11-11-2009 Ole Wrote:Any of you guys go shooting at Blue Ridge in Chantilly? I do not go there any more. A couple of reasons: 1: The owner is a bit of a dickhead. 2: It's a shitty facility. 3: Range safety is practically nonexistent. 4: The NRA Range is nicer, cheaper, easier to park, and all around better. 5: Seriously, BRA sucks balls. The only reason to go to BRA is to rent a safe-fire-rocknroll gun, and if you want to do that, you should go to Silver Eagle Group. (Which is really pimp.) If you don't need to shoot a machine gun, the NRA range is superior in every respect. Obv it is is the better range but since it is not always open sometimes you got to go elsewhere. -T Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ole - 11-11-2009 Can I shoot my Ruger SR556 at the NRA Range? Do I need to be a member? Does NRA limit any guns? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 11-12-2009 KPWSerpiente Wrote:And because the NRA range has terrible fucking hours. I don't think the hours are all that weird, but even so, if the NRA Range is closed, (ie, it's a Tuesday) I head to SEG. Ole Wrote:Can I shoot my Ruger SR556 at the NRA Range? Do I need to be a member? Does NRA limit any guns? Yes you can shoot your SR556 there. You do not need to be an NRA member, but it's cheaper if you are. Shotguns may only shoot slugs otherwise, all pistol calibers and centerfire rifle up to .460 Weatherby Magnum. Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Ole - 11-12-2009 Kaan Wrote:and yes... the Grendel is complete! thanks to rex, julie, and matt for their moral support for the 2.5 years it basically took to put it together! But will it kill ZOMBIES? Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - Kaan - 11-13-2009 After its zeroed tonight... it will kill zombies like no other! but it will cost me... 75 cents a round
Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - KPWSerpiente - 11-14-2009 Anyone got some recommendations for places to take an antique shotgun in Northern Virginia. -T Re: Official MM Firearms Thread - CaptainHenreh - 11-14-2009 KPWSerpiente Wrote:Anyone got some recommendations for places to take an antique shotgun in Northern Virginia.
