one of them they spent a couple of hours working on  Tongue

You can't see it from the angle of the pics that I took of my car, but from the start of that chrome strip and all the way back there is a chrome housing behind it. Those were taken out and spraypainted gloss black. There are also two orange inserts that we removed. Here's a better pic of a stock TL-S headlight to compare it to.

Basically now all you can see is the chrome strip and blackness behind it.

bleh the baby sled has a LOT more paint to clean compared to the Mini. :? Thanks to RJ for showing me that claybaring is not that hard. It REALLY needed it too.

Looks good.

- .RJ - 09-01-2008

Looks like it needs some buffer work... I'll be down there next month Wink

- Jake - 09-01-2008

More recent pix of the Miata... the paint is in good shape for being 13 years old, but the nose has rock chips, and the back bumper's clear is peeling. Oh well, the way it drives makes up for it

Current mods: Removed sun visors, new top.
Future mods: Remove tie-down hooks - planned gain of ┬▒2 HP. Woo!

Jake, the miata really looks great. I originally wanted one in black, yours is a prime example of a great condition NA. I need to wash mine after the 1,000 mile trip home... its a bit of a mess.

- Goodspeed - 09-02-2008

I'm envious of you Miata peoples...you just have to throw a Solo cup full of soapy water at the car then give it a few spritzes of quick detailer wax and the car is clean. You don't know arm fatigue and lower back pain until you attempt to wash and wax the entire hull of a MK3 Supra. Hence why I've only posted maybe one picture in here, and I'm not one of the recurring wash&waxer's.

- Apoc - 09-02-2008

Try a sedan.

Besides being lazy, part of the reason I get my car serviced by someone else is because they wash it. Smile

- WRXtranceformed - 09-02-2008

Oh man I never let a dealership wash my car. That's just asking for massive amounts of swirl marks. It's a bunch of pimply faced teens in the back who wipe it down with dirty rags.

+1
I was exhausted after the truck even using a buffer to apply all the stuff.

Finally, the truth exposed Big Grin If I'm feeling realllllly ambitious, I'll run a single hand towel over it (just once, mind you) and it'll be dry.

Thanks for the feedback, y'all!

Hey, so I have a question. Where can I go in H-Burg to wash my car? I don't have a hose or hose hookup at my apartment, and a convertible top + auto wash = disaster.
