- Nick325is - 02-14-2005 Chris, don't go the way mapquest says. I live in lynchburg which 29 goes right through. I go 81 south to Lexington and then take 501 to Lynchburg. From there you get on the expressway and then get on 29 south. Plus you get to drive some really nice twisty moutain roads on 501.
