You give Maeng's mom a ride recently?

smell was kinda bad, but she needed some tighter rear springs, kinda loose in the corners

i'm also stoked about summit, looks like i'm probably in HDPE 1 Big Grin

...poppin' the HDPE cherry

All you HPDE/Instructor type people really should start a lawncare service for NASA.

I would, but I'm really bad at it. On two excursions I only picked up a few blades in my radiator Sad

Ryan and Jon definately though.

- Kaan - 08-02-2004

they hired me as the ultra-low cut specialist, i should make a mockery of you guys, i might lose my bumper cover to those blades.

The grass definitely got the best of Bobbie Elam. She told me she thought she was in front of her house back home and had crashed in a ditch.

- Kaan - 08-02-2004

someone go pour one out for me at summit since i'll be work and not driving. i dont know what will be in the car 1.6, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2.... but i'm sure i'm going to have kinks to work out before it sees the track. i'll have to borrow a camera for tomorrows visit to the mechanic.

- Feersty - 08-02-2004

Yeah get a B20 dude.

- Sijray21 - 08-02-2004

you know what to do so i won't tell you what to get, but this is what i'd do (if i could afford it)

b16's are usually pretty inexpensive, i say try to get a b16a2 head and b18c1 short block with teg ls transmission

...mmm...b00sted b20z in rex....mmmm.....

- white_2kgt - 08-02-2004

Ok, so I'm 8 seconds off the America Iron record for VIR North in a car that is 400lbs to heavy and missing about 50hp and 2 gears. I'm going for my license next season!

this is all jibberish to me, but I have to totally agree since boost is involved.
Just my .02, find a motor that is super plentiful and just boost the shit out of it. That was my plan when I was considering a hatch. I figured I'd find a motor that can be had cheaply on demand and develop a turbo system for it. Then, just pump it up to 15 PSI and ride it like a cheap whore till it blew up. Just keep a spare engine in a corner of the garage/dining room laying in wait for the death of its cousin. As soon as the new engine gets put in, find a replacement. Eventually, you'll be able to do an engine swap in 4 hours or so.

hot damn... so that's a 1:50? i was slowly catching the one session I saw you so that'd be 1:49ish for me? wow. nice driving with that slushbox! when you get a real tranny in there you're gonna be hauling (assuming the slushy is slowing you down).

that was probably the session I was practicing driving off line
I will expect you to line up behind (or in front, I don't care) me at Summit in Sept.
