Maybe with the XM/Sirius merger they'll show up on Sirius? That would be sweet Smile

I have to have itunes to download? Waste.

Unrelated.... I thought this was going to be totally retarded but it actually turned out pretty cool.

I've been using Freecorder (attachment to Firefox) to rip their sets occasionally.

Is it 234? That's what's streamed on their site now and I really like it.

- WRXtranceformed - 09-24-2008

Yep 234, I just listened to it tonight while we made dinner Big Grin

Freecorder never worked correctly for me - said it was recording, but would have a hiccup somewhere causing the file to be unreadable halfway through the set. Having those free podcasts is so much nicer - plus you can D/L sets from a few weeks ago.

- ScottyB - 09-25-2008

has anyone tried ripcast recently? i used to use it but i haven't messed with it lately and i'm not even sure if it's still around. i nabbed a few quality streaming shows with that back in the day.

- Evan - 09-25-2008

is their set streamable through winamp or is it only available through that crappy web streamer on their website? Ive used StreamRipper for winamp streams and it is superb.

and there is always bittorrent

Episode #235... VERY GOOD SO FAR!

I wasn't all that impressed with 235 - I thought 234 was much more superior and Steve Bolger's guest mix at the end was pretty damn bad ass.

Listening to 236 now - track listing looks good and Sasha is the guest mix, which could be really good or really bad.

- Apoc - 10-03-2008

234 > 235

That is all.

- WRXtranceformed - 10-03-2008

Agreed. I still listen to their special Episode 200 quite a bit, I ripped it with FreeCorder if you guys remember. If anyone doesn't have it and wants it, let me know!

While the thread is bumped, I've been worrying about the lack of trance I've been listening to lately. Not too many people other than some of my close friends down here really listen to trance / techno, and because hip hop is so popular I've found myself listening to popular rap stuff almost more than trance now. There is one club in particular in uptown that gets some really really good DJs so I've hit that place up for PVD so far this year... that's helped out.

However, I've been really encouraged by the movement with some hip hop artists to start incorporating house and dance beats into their songs. Two good examples are Ne-Yo's Closer and John Legend's Green Light. Green Light is quickly becoming one of my favorite hip hop songs, it sounds especially good with some really bangin bass. I'm hoping this trend continues, music like that brings the best of both worlds!

Blasphemy!

I know I know... I mean I've always been into hip hop since my thuggish pot-smoking days, but I can't escape it down here... it's all country and rap!

You moved to NC. Correlation or causation? Hmmm?

First 70 minutes are good, and I like the opening track from Sasha's new album. Reminded me a bit of a mix between Involver and the old S&D Expeditions CD. But Sasha's guest mix at the end is that same drab dub stuff he was playing when I saw him last year... very disappointing. I really miss their mixes from years prior...

- WRXtranceformed - 10-03-2008

Remember the Northern Exposure albums? Man that was some GOOD stuff. Those were some of the first trance CDs that really got me into the genre... along with some euro-trashy stuff
